This thing seems to malfunction. Whenever I held it by the long skinny handle and pushed the trigger, I'd always burn my hand. The only way I could get it to work properly was to hold it by the big end of the lighty stick and squeeze the trigger. This is ridiculous!
this is more of a camping style lighter but works great for anything you need it for. we used it for birthday candles and the ease of use was awesome you don't even have to hold The safety lever all the time like most of them you just have to hold at the very beginning.
Super basic but gets the job done every single time. Long enough to reach the back of the grill or fire pit without roasting my hand, clicks reliably, and the flame is adjustable. I've used it for charcoal, gas grill, candles, even the fireplace when the pilot light acts up. For like $2 it's a steal—way better than messing with matches. Grab a couple; they disappear fast.
This works well for all we need in and outside the home. Easy to use, strong arc of flame and the fuel seems to last more than a few uses. We would grab a few for summer camping trips for lighting the fire pits, we're not smokers but convient for what we do need a flame for.
This works well to light candles or a Tiki container. I have another one from a different brand I ordered at the same time as this one that seems like better quality but is more money. They both do the same but I like the other one better as far as how much more durable it feels.
Not a bad lighter for the low price. A bit tricky to light at times. You have to press and hold the safety button lever just right. But once lit, the flame seems to stay lit for as long as you keep holding the button lever pressed. And, again, you can't beat the low cost !
For the little time I've had it it's been a great lighter don't get me wrong. I bought 2 different types of refillable lighters from Walmart and this one has a bigger better flame than the other one which makes it more ideal for a lot of applications. The reason I'm taking off 1 star is because the child safety on this one makes it harder to use than it should be. I suppose if you have pyro kids it's a good feature but for everyone else it's just another slightly obnoxious obstacle to lighting a fire.
Very cheap and light plastic. It didn't even work straight out of the packaging. I didn't even waste time going back to the store. I just threw it away.
this lighter is impossible for me to hold down the necessary safety button and Light it at the same time. my hand is average size for a woman but I have to have my 6 "4 son light things for me.. This poorly designed lighter is usless to me. I will never buy this again nor recommend this to anyone.. I have to now go and buy a different lighter that I can use when my son isn't around to light things for me.. I'm very disappointed..
Doesn't deserve a single star. Ridiculously difficult to push down and hold a hard, plastic piece while simultaneously trying to pull a hard, plastic trigger. Hated this so much. Arthritic fingers or low hand strength? Do not purchase this. You'd be better off rubbing two sticks together to get a flame.
