This is a great budget alternative to the higher cost titanium spoons made for the backpacking meals for those just getting into backpacking or testing the waters. it has the length and will last if you treat it with care. The carabiner clip hole is a nice touch if you wanted to hang it from a clip on the outside (or inside) of your pack so you don't misplace this important trail tool! For under a buck you can't beat the price. This is a great addition to the Ozark Trail camping gadget aisle.
Lightweight and convenient.
This spoon is as light as the shorter spoon also sold by Ozark Trail in a spoon, knife and fork set. It's great for eating food from a tall container without dirtying my hands or pulling up olives from a tall jar. This spoon doesn't flex even when I use it for hot soup. Thumbs up for price and quality. I will be getting more for camping and home use.
The spoon's bowl is about the same size as a regular tablespoon which is a big plus. The 9 inch spoon is good for soups, stews and other soft foods, I wouldn't try to eat ice cream straight out of the freezer with it. If you're doing a multi day hiking or camping trip I recommend having spare spoons in case it breaks. I've included a picture comparing the Ozark Trail spoon with a regular tablespoon and a titanium spoon.
Smaller than I thought it would be.
after buying in fine print there was a caution for product causing cancer, NO THANKS WHY WOULD THIS EVEN BE MANUFACTERED?!
it melted when used. PURE GARBAGE.
