Ozark Trail Salt 7? Bent Pliers

This is surprisingly a very good set of fish pliers! I was looking for a set of fish pliers that had a lot of utility. The pliers are spring loaded for convenience, which is a huge plus on hand strain. The curved pliers also help in dehooking a fish, although I wish we could get an extra inch in length so we could handle toothy fish. The grips are very slightly curved for improved grip pressure, but it's not much and still better than a straight handle. The handles have a rubbery texture, so when your hands are wet, it'll have less chance of slipping out of your hands. Also there is a lanyard hole so you don't have to worry about dropping these pliers. It'll cut mono/flouro but you definitley need dedicated braid cutters rather than rely on the pliers cutting surface. I wish there was a dedicated flat crimp zone, but I don't think there would be space for that. Please note that there is point where the upper and lower parts of the pliers touch, but the gap is less than 1mm. Besides these minor CONS, I would recommend this set of fish pliers to any angler who wants to have such a valuable tool on their belt.

as good as the expensive ones

very sturdy pliers, heavy, not gonna break any time soon. internal tension. they don't stay closed without little plastic tip, though, which is easily lost. i like them, but not my favorite.
