Ozark Trail Steel Camping Folding Shovel

This shovel is very compact and easy to use. It fits in the palm of your hand when folded. All you have to do is lift up the handle part and it turns into an actual shovel. It does not fold down whenever you try to push it into the ground to dig. Went into the ground with no issues at all. I was able to dig a nice hole with it. Perfect for any type of emergency you may have while on the go. Great for camping and digging a hole for a fire. Easy to store in a backpack with your other camping gear.

This Ozark Trail folding shovel really comes in handy. It's very sturdy, light weight and very comfortable to use. It is a little hard to squeeze the handle to fold it back up. I have used it out in my garden and I was very impressed on how well it dug up rocks and dirt so I could plant my vegetables. I like that it doesn't take up a lot of space and it is easy to use.

This is a really nice folding shovel. Great for camping. Also great for a survival kit. Cleans off early. It is small like a trowel. It is easy to use. It is lightweight. Overall a pretty good shovel.

I never knew a little shovel could do so much. We brought this along on a recent trip. I used it for many things. Hammering down stakes. Digging a hole for compost and of course the #2 duty needed on a hike. We used it to help us out of a muddy spot with our car tire. It was quite handy and easy to store away. Great addition for a great price. Definitely recommend having this with you on your next camping trip.

The Ozark Trail Steel Camping Folding Shovel really is convenient and portable. It is a sturdy shovel that is easy and light to hold. Just unfold and lock in place. I have one for my camping gear and one for my greenhouse. Don't let the small size fool you. This little shovel can really dig a good scoop. I scooped the ashes from our portable camping grill. We also dug around for Fossils. I am sure you could actually dig a trench around your tent if you had to. As long as you are not camping on rocks! This shovel is stronger than you might think from just looking at it. You have just got to try it. I have used one to dig around my flower beds and plant some small Fig trees. I love that I can fold it and toss it into my greenhouse table drawer. Super compact to fit nicely in a gear bag. Oh, and did I mention the price? Easy to afford more than one.

This small stainless steel shiver is about the size of a garden spade when fully open. It's very compact and lightweight, easy to carry. I tried it out in my flower garden and it's sturdy enough to dig up small rocks. It's great for small jobs but I would not want to dig a very big hole with it.

This tiny little shovel would almost fit in your pocket, so if you're looking for something compact, this definitely is that. I didn't realize just how small it would be, so if that matters, be aware that folded, it fits in the palm of your hand. Otherwise, it's quite sturdy and you're definitely not going to bend the handle or the blade very easily. The tip of the blade is sharp enough to be able to make a great garden spade, which is what I'm using mine for. I will carry it along in a back-pack while hiking/camping, because it will not take up much space, at all. For convenience and compactness, I do recommend getting one for your backpack.

The ozark folding shovel is extremely small when folded up and saves a lot of space. It it very durable and easy to use but it is smaller so the things you can use it for are limited. I use it for gardening and it fits in my gardening bag but since it is smaller you can not use it for larger projects.

This is a very small shovel. It would fit nicely in a bug-out bag or if you have limited room in your camping supplies. It would really only work for making small holes for bathroom use or gardening in a bug out. It doesn't take up much room in my bug- out boxes.

It was very stiff the first time I opened it and tried to latch it to stay open. I should have tested it at home first because when I finally got it, it was at the expense of my hand which got cut wide open on the blade in bear country. I survived, my hand healed, but while the stiffness on the shovel is slightly better (or maybe I'm better at locking it in place now) it is very tough to use on hard ground. So tough I won't even bother. The most expensive tool is a cheap one like this one I must replace :(
