Ozeri ZK18 Rev Kitchen Scale with Electro-Mechanical Weight Dial

I love this kitchen scale! It has 2 ways of weighing food. You can clearly see the weight on the screens. It's small so it won't take up slot of counter space.

I have baked for years without using a kitchen scale and my baked goods would turn out differently from batch to batch. Then I read an article where a pastry chef said if you don't weigh your ingredients you cannot be assured that your baked goods will turnout the same every time. So I bought a scale and used it all the time, but the surface area was limited. This kitchen scale by Ozeri has a larger flat surface and was easy to clean. I have started using this scale since it offers me so much more versatility instead of my old scale. This kitchen scale is light weight at less than 1 lb. and measures around 8 x 5 ½ inches and is 8/10 of inch thick. The scale can show measurements in pounds, ounces, grams and Kilograms. This scale can measure actually from 0.1 ounce to 11 pounds. Readings are shown on a LCD screen and a dial. This kitchen scale does have the Tare feature which is very useful when measuring dry and wet ingredients. The scale does require 3 AAA batters to function. Overall, I found the surface of this scale to be more than adequate to hold a small or large bowl or even a baking pan or plate. The surface is tempered glass which is smooth and easy to clean. The Tare button is so important for a baker. What the Tare function allows is the baker to place a container on the scale such as a bowl, but only measure the actual ingredients. It is easy to switch back and forth between the different measurements which is important. Changing the batteries is easy and does not require any tools. The scale is really light weight and sets flat on any surface. The scale does have feet, but they are flat and only keep the scale slightly off the counter surface. The LCD screen is backlit and easy to read. I find the dial is easy to read, but may not be for everyone. When testing the scales accuracy I used scale weights and it performed perfectly. I received this product as a sample and my findings are based on my own impressions of the product. In no way was my finding influenced by my sample. I have only been using this scale for a few days, but I have used in continuously during this time. I have retested the accuracy with the weights again and the weights are still reading correctly.

I am so excited about this food scale. My favorite feature is the TARE button. I make quite a bit of home made breads and pizza dough and I am always having to weigh my bowl, then subtract bowl weight to try to get the correct measurements and it can be a real pain. This scale has just made my life alot easier. As anyone who makes home made dough to get the correct measurement for the best tasting goods you must weigh your ingredients. Plus quite a few of my recipes are in grams so I have to weigh ingredients. This scale goes back and forth between ounces...and grams...pounds and kilograms very easily, with a flip of a button on the underside of scale. It will go from 0.1 ounce up to 11 pounds. It has a very easy to read large digital LCD screen and it also has a dial if you choose to read it that way. It is very light weight and has rubber feet to keep it firmly in place on your counter top. It has an auto shut off which is very nice if you should get busy and forget. It comes with the 3 AAA batteries needed and the scale has a low battery indicator on it. This scale is very easy to clean. I was provided this scale as a sample.

I love the tare feature, If you place your empty container or bowl on the scale and press the tare button it will take your scale back to zero. Eliminating the need to subtract your containers weight off of the total weight and leaving you with the precise measurements of your food. I got the Ozeri WeightMaster II 440 lbs Digital Bath Scale with BMI and Weight Change Detection and I have to say I love these scales. These scales come with weight management solution to measure and track my weight. It measures my body fat according to my height and weight. I have never seen anything like this scale, even when I went to the health center they didn't have anything this smart. It can weigh up to 440 lbs. It took me a little while to understand what was going on and now my kids come and have to weight themselves almost every day. I can now not only watch what I eat, I am able to tell if I'm on the right track with what I am eating. I do recommend this scale to anybody trying to trim the fat, are just stay fit. This Ozeri rev digital kitchen scale is super duper sleek. I love modern and clean looking appliances and decor and this is perfect as it matches my life style. I love baking and have learned through the years that baking is nothing like cooking especially when making macaroons. You need to be precise on the weight of your ingredients. For macaroons I've learned that I can't just crack an large egg and expect my cookies to come out correctly. Instead I have to make sure that I have exactly 150g of egg whites. This scale can measure in grams, ounces, pounds and kilograms which is great if you have different recipes with different units of measurements so you don't have to convert anything. There is a button in the back of the scale that changes the digital scale from ounces and grams and the dial gives you the kilograms and pounds. The scale range goes from 0.1 ounce to 11 pounds so you can use it for more than just cooking. Great for those (like my family) that are using the scale for their macros in order to get healthier. I personally love how large the face of this scale is as it really allows me to place varies bowls and plates on it without having to worry about it being on a stable surface. In addition, the tempered glass allows for easy cleaning. My only thing I'm not a fan of for this scale is the dial as my dad has a hard time reading it accurately due to his eye sight but if you are younger its perfect. My wife wishes it should be bigger. Its dimension: 5 1/2" x 8 3/16" x 1/2". When delivered, we found all batteries completely leaked. We do not mind it. Accuracy is fine, there is about 1 gram variation. We tried different weights to find the repeatability of reading is good. Overall it is good enough for weighing in kitchen.

Not very stable on a flat counter. Much smaller than described and very light weight, Would not reccomend.
