Very safe alternative.
Im growing plants in pots on my front porch. Having serious problems with the neighborhood cats using the pots as a litter box plus spraying all over my chairs and grill. I was desperate for an animal safe solution. This item definitely works!! Cats cant stand it! The sound effect is very uncomfortable for cats causing them to quickly leave area. The sound didnt seem to bother my friend's dog or the opossum (which is good). I set the item directly on the porch floor against the wall which has worked perfect for me. I have used for about a month and at this time, no more cat problem (knock on wood). BTW when the sound is triggered, it doesn't bother the birds visiting the bird bath and feeder.
