Perfect solution for new radio installations
I purchased a new Clarion head unit for my 2005 Nissan Xterra which has the Rockford Fosgate premium sound system ( 9 speakers ,380w amp, and subwoofer under seat). Every time I changed the source or turned the radio off I'd get a capacitor thump because the new radio grounds the RCA connector during no signal output. After installing (2) PAC SNI-1 units all noise was eliminated and sound quality wasn't changed. A simple solution for a big problem. Walmart price was better than Amazon and I picked them up at the local store in 2 days.

Excellent
There was an annoying noise when I was using a cable from RCA red/white AV ports in the car to a 3.5 mm (headphone) connector to plug into my phone (so I could run audio from the phone through the car speakers). It was worse because I had to turn up the volume to hear which made the noise louder, etc. This device worked perfectly to completely eliminate the noise. I also love how Walmart only uses FedEx and it is free to pick up at a FedEx Office location if you won't be home to receive the delivery. I hate UPS and USPS.

Non-working
When I hooked it up, the left channel was nonfunctional. The functioning right channel audio was not improved. Construction was poor. You can see through the wire holes straight through the other side. The saying goes, you get what you paid for, but with this you get half of what you paid for. Would not recommend to friends. Would recommend to enemies.

Marine application
I hope it works well in automotive applications. It did not work for marine. Troubleshoot as required and it seemed like the right repair for the job. It did not work as described, but, I did not chassis to ground to. Had to go through system ground and that may be why it didn't work.

Reduced Mid Bass Responce & Did NOT Fix anything
I love PAC products, however this SNI-1 reduced my mid-bass and did not remove my rca noise. I will try another product.
