Wind in Wyoming is a part of life. Roll-Up Tonneaus puff up and loose their shape within a year and fold-up Covers last a day before popping open while drive down the road after a day because they lack a center line brace. The JackRabbit beats both hands down. The track sits within the rails, allows lovks in 1ft increments, and the aluminum cross members ensure a tight yet flexible alternative to secure your payload. Install was acqward but easily done within 45 minutes. If the kit came with two alignment braces for both sides, it would be perfect. I would recommend buying the additional kit before installing. . . for $50, its good insurance!
Had it on for about 3 weeks now, been through several heavy rain storms and not a drop of water inside the bed. Cover is very low profile and looks sleek. Lock seems durable and strong. I added the tailgate seal as well. Install was simple except for putting the side rails into the cover housing, you really need a second person to simplify this step, other than that, install was easy.
The cover was easy to install, it took approx. . . 45 minutes. It's very smooth operating and I really like the lock on the outside of the bed. I don't have to drop the tailgate to open the cover. Hoping I can hear from someone on the credit back to my card for the dash cover I bought and on the return I did I was told I would be refunded and to destroy the dash cover. Please let me know on it.
I have had this on my 2024 F150 Lariat for a few months. Love everything about this cover. I have had the roll up covers in the past and the Velcro seems to always want to give a little and gear seemed to get more wet. With the Jackrabbit things stay pretty dry all the way around. Haven't had much snow on it yet in the Midwest, but optimistic it will hold up to anything I throw at it.
This is the third Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit that I have bought and installed for my company. We have tried other brands and keep coming back to this one because of the quality and ease of install. I can install these by myself fairly easily.
One knock however goes to the installation videos from third parties… they all gloss over one very tricky assembly step—locking the side rails into the canister. In the end not too bad but take a minute to study it.
Nice once I got it installed. Took about 3 hours. A bumper was past the stop on one end and the other end was extended about 3 inches longer on the other. Also instructions and videos didn't agree on the direction of the leveling bolt on the rear of the rails. It needs to be at an upward angle, not horizontal. Spring seems weak for retracting. Really shows dirt.
Installation was easy enough, but there was a defect in hole placement on the panel that covers the box. The holes from the cover were misaligned about 3/8" off the mark to be able to screw it into the box. As I write this review, I only have one screw installed on one side and no screws on the other side. Realtruck customer service has notified me that manufacturer will be sending me a replacement cover. Until then I can only give this cover 4-1/2 stars. It looks great and the added functionality of securing my cargo was really the reason why I bought it in the first place, but I have been getting compliments from everyone that has seen it too. I just hope I get a replacement cover soon to complete the install. The price is a little steep for a tonneau cover, but the quality of materials used on it is high to justify the higher price I feel. I recommend this cover for anyone that wants to secure their valuables and keep a low profile look in their cargo area. Overall this is a smooth operating and great looking cover that should give years of reliable service. I will follow up on this review as soon as I receive the replacement cover.
Ordered the Jack Rabbit and deciding between that and the BAK x4s. I was disappointed to once the JR arrived that it did not work correctly. The canister itself and panel would not roll. This makes me want the x4s but will research more. Price just seems so high.
I would love to review something that I have actually recieved, when the cover arrives I will review the product!
