Outstanding and Necessary Addition

Austin U. May 25, 2025

I recently acquired a standard 98 Tacoma which was very limited storage in the cab. For longer trips, I would quickly run out of secure and dry space for anything that I was bringing along. The hard cover was the solution, and being that I want to have full access to the majority of the cab, but also have security, the hard rolling slats was a perfect option. Super easy to install and effective in what it was designed for!

Fits like a glove and looks great.

Greg P. May 9, 2026

There are definitely less expensive options out there, but this tonneau cover is top quality, looks great, and functions perfectly. By far the most secure tonneau cover I've ever had. I'm in my mid 60s and easily installed it myself. The install instructions were good enough, but they could have provided a few helpful tips on the alignment and support bracket adjustments.

good product

W.S. M. September 21, 2025

Instructions were a little fuzzy to me because this was more complicated that my old retrax cover. When unlocked it is a little difficult to get it started retracting. I'm thinking that it will get better with use. My only concern is that the sweep at the canister end doesn't make good contact with the cover as it is going in.

Best cover ever

Super high quality, best I've ever seen, I guess you get what you pay for. Although the installation instructions could be a little better.

I haven't even received it

Chris H. July 20, 2024

I haven't even received it yet I've been waiting for over 2-3 weeks now if not longer I've contacted support couple times now and told the same thing they don't keep stock of these bed covers so they are made to order I just wish I would have been told this before I spent 2,000.00 dollars but once I get it I will update my review until then if you go to buy this make sure you ask how long will it take to ship don't go off what real truck website says because it said 2-3 days

I have owned Tonneau covers

Richard S. August 9, 2010

I have owned Tonneau covers in the past by three other companies. Leer, Advance & Diamonback. This cover far surpasses the performance and ease of use by any of the previous. I can't believe I waited this long to purchase one of these. I would recomend this 100% by anyone inquiring.

Nice cover but could use improvements.

Stephen P. April 3, 2025

Purchased this cover with the the recommendation from sales associate at online shop. I've had 3 roll n locks over the years but due to paint integrity, I was looking elsewhere. This one has a plastic housing to hold the aluminum drum with push-in drain tubes. The roll n lock had a metal housing with built-in barbs and a flexible hose to go through your truck bed. In my opinion, the Pace Edwards drain tubes are very cheesy and loose fitting in the plastic housing. Apparently they are designed to be breakaway in case you shoved your items into it. The design idea is it won't ruin your housing. In my opinion a plastic flexible hose would solve that with the roll n lock design.

Quality and install leaves a lot to be desired.

Chris A. September 16, 2024

Hard time deciding how to rate it as it really is a nice looking cover, but went with two for the following reasons: One of the clamps used to hold the rails to the bed broke into three pieces. I guess they blame me because they sold me a new one,(took almost two weeks) but it's an extremely poor design. On my truck there is a lot of space under the rail which means the round bit supposed to clamp walks upward until vertical which causes the underside of the trucks rail to bite into the hinge. I have photos. Instructions say torque to no more that 120 inch pounds. I went with 115 and have a very good INCH pounds torque wrench which I have used many times with no problems. Never got anywhere near that before it broke. Torqued the others to 40. Don't feel comfortable going higher. Hope they stay tight. When I went to install the locking screws on the rails, the passenger side hole wasn't tapped. Suppose I could have called customer service and let them sell me a new rail since for ?, but that's a hard pass. Had to go to the hardware store anyway. Might as well pick up a 1/4-20 tap too. Never know when you might need one. The pull strap is supposed to have some plastic paddle that attaches to the driver's rear with a screw. The screw is there, but no plastic on the end. Supposed to be some velcro that attaches to the underside of the rail. Three velcro strips on the strap. The first won't reach the rail even with the strap perpendicular to it. The other two are near the end of the strap which extends more than two feet past the end of the tailgate. I think they just threw some random strap on it. Now we get to the drawings. I've been reading blueprints for a living for over 30 years and have seen better on the backs of napkins. Low res, poor or no views of key parts and no display of critical dimensions. I could go on, but have to go.
