Ingredients lots of tomato come through with onion with a little kick in a chunky texture with a sealed lid. No loss in taste with lower sodium. Just a better health choice. The no salt corn chips with this salsa are great as an appetizer or with a meal. Makes for a good snack. Salsa used in cooking adds a lot of good flavour to any dish.
Pace Lower Sodium Chunky Medium Salsa is not bad. Naturally, having more salt in food does enhance the flavor more but this is a good alternative. It's a great snack on chips and it can be eaten for breakfast with eggs or on breakfast burritos to give them a little extra kick. It's also good for dinner on tacos, in spaghetti and on taco salads. I have even seen people season their roasts and chicken with it. The Medium does not have much fire, so if you're looking for the flame factor you won't find it here. The seasoning is acceptable though. In my opinion, it's a good alternative.
My daughter has a kidney disease so we've switched to low sodium. You cannot tell there's anything different about this salsa. It tastes great and we get it regularly!
Thank you Pace salsa! I must use low sodium products and this is a wonderful way to add lots of flavor without too much salt/ sodium!!! I used up my first jar very quickly because it's so delicious!
We really enjoy salsa with a variety of foods including breakfast and snacks. However around the lid and top of the jars always get moldy before we eat all of it.
Have tried anumber of salsas and just really enjoy the flavor of pace. Lower sodium is a bonus I didn't notice a difference even with lower sodium chips still very flavorful, just not salty.
My favorite brand of salsai. Been using this salsa for 20 years. I like how thick it is has chunks of veggies and tastes great. Just found the low sodium option I'm not a big salt fan and between chips and salsa can be too much salt.
I am reducing my sodium and short of making it myself, this is the best tasting and affordable option. Pace is usually my go to brand. I think salt gets in the way of the tomato flavor in picante sauces, generally. To me, this sauce is much tomatoier! It's 150 mg for each 2 tablespoon serving so adjust for your daily quota.
I kid you not... This salsa is excellent on all the obvious dishes like tacos and burritos. I especially enjoy it on my mushroom and cheese omelets. I've also used it in some of our meatloaf recipes. Adds a little kick to 'em. - It goes without saying that we highly recommend this product and will continue to use it. Happy cooking!
Love It! Wish everything would lower the salt! With lower salt you actual taste salsa and not salty tomato stuff.
