This Tamagotchi took me right back to my childhood as soon as we pulled the tab out. It's so simple to operate but is mildly addicting to raise your character. My daughter already loves it and cares for “Packy” (as she named him) very well. I'm so glad these are “in” again!!
I was excited to get the PAC-MAN Tamagotchi toy/game. It reminded me of my childhood of hrs spending time fighting the ghost chasing fruit so much fun. I love that it is portable you can put it on you key ring attach it to your jeans or backpack. Its great for car rides or travel to keep the kids busy. You have 2 mini games included. You raise you Tamagotchi by feeding it and watching it grow. I would definitely recommend this product.
I had a tamagotchi as a kid and enjoyed giving that experience to my kids. The updated Pacman version is cute. Pacman comes to chase away the ghosts when they bother your pet and you can play a couple Pacman games to entertain your pet. My kids enjoyed their digital pet. The casing is so much smaller than the original one. Sometimes it's hard to press the right button during the games because they are so small.
My kids love Tamagotchi. There's something about taking care/nurturing of the character kids & some “adults” love like taking care of a pet but without the real responsibility. I was so excited when I saw this PAC-MAN version. The Pac-man “ghost” come after your Tamagotchi character so you get PAC-MAN to help. Highly Recommend for any PAC-MAN or Tamagotchi lovers out there!
Now for this this brings back my childhood and playing my favorite game. This is a fun game when sitting around the house with nothing else to do. It's easy to get lost in it. I can easily play it for a while before I realize what time it is and I probably should be doing something else around the house. This would be perfect for those doctor visits when nothing else to do because now days you surely don't want to thumb through a magazine. Teens would even enjoy this along with younger kids. It's eye catching, entertaining, and fun for everyone.
I had one of these as a child but don't remember them being so tiny. My son is a teenager and he found the buttons to be a little on the small side. It is fun to pass time away especially while waiting in line or when stuck in the car. He liked watching it grow and doing all the things needed to make it grow. He also enjoyed the games you can play on it. One thing I found odd was in the past if you didn't take care of it properly it died, now it just leaves. It keeps him entertained so I am happy with it.
Setup was actually pretty easy for the kids, they didn't read the instructions initially but were able to start playing right away. I liked the sleep function, you can set the time for PAC-Man to go into a rest mode so the kids don't lose anything but you also aren't bugged to play or care for your friend. You need to feed your character and you get to choose what, of course my kids wanted cherries every time. The games are simple to play and fun, the kids didn't think it was something they wanted to do every day but they like to play on car rides to school or events. I remember playing with these as a kid myself and was happy the kids enjoyed playing too, I sneak in a game or two myself.
My two older children are six and almost nine. they got this out of the package and we're really excited about it. However, the game is just not very fun. I think with all of the new technology that has been invented since the original tamagotchi pet came out as made kids these days not as excited for the old technology. they weren't very thrilled with the pixels of the screen and the size of the screen as well. The screen is extremely small. The screen itself is approximately one half of an inch and it's really hard to see. They did figure out all the buttons that they needed to push and win to push them so younger kids could easily figure this out, but it's pretty boring. It works just as described and as a fun color and a fun retro game, it may be better for an older kid that's looking for a sleek game they can play during class haha. Overall I'm not sure I would recommend spending money on this product.
I received this product in good condition minimal packaging. The set up was fairly easy. I have to admit I was excited about getting a toy like the ones from back in the day, a (throwback)! Needless to say my teenage son was not interested as he is a product of the advanced technology of today. He did not think that “taking care “ of a toy was fun! (Lol). It has no color or touch screen as he is used to and it's kind of small. My older kids used to love the tamagotchi toys back in the day. I would send up “taking care” of them but they were still good toys for the time. I personally think it's cute and cool to have as a reminder of simpler times.
I have the Pac-Man Tamagotchi. It's super duper adorable!! I had such high hopes and expectations for this thing! Unfortunately it sucks. For starters it's much smaller of than the Tamagotchis of old. As you can see from my picture it is much smaller than the palm of my hand. I am an average adult. I don't have tiny hands. It is maybe an inch and a half in height. The next problem is the big problem. IT DOES NOT WORK!!!! It constantly resets. I can't even give my hatchling a full 12 hours of life before the Tamagotchi resets. It can reset when it is just setting on the counter with no one touching it. I have tested that to make sure it was not getting bumped. I have done all the steps to help with this issue. I have changed the batteries and made sure the cover was super tight. I honestly think I just got a dud. When I was able to play it, the games were fun! I enjoyed the chase the ghosts game. It was cute! I so desperately wanted to love this thing like I did my Tamagotchis when I was a kid. I wish it worked! I had so high hopes! If you get this: Good luck! I hope your's works better than mine did!
