Tough and reliable security
This lock fits the bill for maximizing the security of my storage unit. Had a lock made by the most commonly available lock company in the USA and it disappeared from the unit door, along with some nice rods and reels from inside. YouTube videos show just how easy that brand of lock generally is to pick or break with no special training or tools so I looked for a better design and build. The insurance grade lock mechanism on this ABUS is solid, smooth, difficult to pick, and resistant to power tools, though no lock can hold out indefinitely. Someone can go through the unit door if wanting inside badly enough, so I am mostly encouraging a thief to move on to a more convenient target. With this class of lock, the target is unlikely to get shifted to me.
