This is a great idea to make it much more enjoyable to watercolor. I love the adjustability it has with the angle you can paint and the drawer up front is really nice if you're carrying this somewhere. It allows you room for your paints and brushes. It's not extra roomy, but enough to put a paint set and brushes in. It came with a set of brushes that aren't very crisp, but for a beginner, there is enough of a variety that would be fun to use. This set came with tubes of paint that I've not used yet and a paint palette. There are paint mixing knives, a sketch pad as well as 3 thin canvases, and 4 sponges also include all of which I've not used yet. Overall, without having used the paint, sponges and knives, this set is nice for a beginner. Only problem I would foresee with this long term is the fold out ledge that your paper/ canvas sits on for you to paint. The easel is made of a very light weight wood and the hinges for the fold out ledge are very cheap. If not extremely careful, this will eventually break off or bend from weight and time using it, or possibly from folding it in and out to carry places.
