Palmolive ECO+ Gel Dishwasher Detergent Lemon Splash Scent 45oz (1 Pack)

Cleans well an no white etching on glasses. We were were using a top pod brand. It was getting really defeating seeing our good glassware have to be tossed because of white residue/etching. We were told to use phosphate free, which this Palmolive is. We have never look back. This cleans very well.

I had to write because I see this isn't getting good reviews. This is one of my favorite dishwasher detergents by far. I switched to Cascade pods for a while, and my stomach started really bothering me. The longer time went on, the worse my stomach was, especially after using plastic cups. This went on for maybe a month. I began to wonder if it was the Cascade. I started hand washing my dishes and sure enough the stomach pains went away. I switched back to this version of the Palmolive and I have not had any stomach issues since then. I did a little reading up on it, and it does seem that some of the chemicals in the stronger detergents can really mess with your digestive system's balance. It's true that it doesn't make the dishes quite as sparkly as the harsher ones, but I'd rather have just plain old clean dishes than sparkly plates I can't even bear to eat off of. So I had to give this a high rating. It's one of the few that I can use without making my tummy hurt.

I don't understand all the bad reviews. I've been using this gel for at least a couple years now. Used it with my olllllld dishwasher and my brand new one. Absolutely no problems! Everything comes out sparkling clean! I do not fill the dispenser though. I only fill it about halfway. And then put some in the prewash spot. It's an excellent inexpensive option. I will add we do not have very hard water. Our water hardness is around 120ppm. Maybe those experiencing issues have hard water? I do not know. But it works great for us.

This is a great gel for dishwasher dishes. It really cleans, leaves no residue on dishes and best of all it will not leave scratches on glassware like all the other type dishwasher detergents do. Over the years I have had to throw out drinking glasses do to a white looking film on them. It is caused by the harsh granular type dish washer detergents. You can wash your fine crystal wine glasses without worry with Palmolive gel detergent. I have tried several other brands on the market and this by far the best!!!!

I love this product because it cleans well and doesn't destroy the SS finish inside the dishwasher. For normal loads I can use the gentle cycle and still get great results.

im surprised at the bad reviews. ive seen zero residue. it doesnt get the CAKED ON food off but the stuff that does, is no good. its very noticeable in my son...the tummy distress using other detergents. i add a sprinkle of Borax in with this

To everyone saying it leaves a residue, yes it can. You should try using a rinse aid. It does contain chlorine bleach, which is the reason I buy it. In the last few years we started noticing this weird, almost wet dog smell on our dishes after running them through the dishwasher. (And the dishwasher is completely clean, we checked!) We read that it could be from eggs which we cook every day, but we cooked eggs for years before and never noticed a smell. It could be in the water, idk. Either way, this is the only detergent that gets rid of that smell. Only reason for 4 stars is because of the shrinkflation. Noticed how tiny the bottle was when I went to buy it last. It's absolutely insane and I KNOW the cost of production cannot have gone up that much. They're taking advantage of the fact that everyone is already expecting inflation to increase their profit margin.

This product leaves white chalky substance on most dishes. does not smell of lemon at all, smells like pure bleach. I've used it on 3 loads of dishes and I will not use it again, I'm afraid itll ruin my dish washer as others on here have stated. i don't know why this product is still on shelves. you get what you pay for in dish detergent just an FYI!

Just like the eco version, It Builds up in our dishwasher. We had to call repairmen, they told us to discontinue use that it had backed up all the way into the garbage disposal! They said after repair, it would additionally take up to 10 scalding hot washes with no dishes to clear it out.

I bought this as a cheaper alternative and knowing that Palmolive is a good name, I figured it'd work—WRONG! This thing made my dishes look so cloudy and did not wash well at all! Totally not worth it. I'll stick with Cascade and Finish.
