It is all that it says to be. Two people required part of the time in the building. It is definitely a solid and sure to be long-lasting part of our patio. Our only trouble was the plastic concrete anchors and lag bolts. We broke 3 lag bolts and had to purchase metal anchors and bolts. We are happy with our new gazebo:)
We bought this gazebo this spring and have used it all summer, with nothing but good things to say. Assembly took a bit, but no worse than others - it was pretty intuitive.
Aluminum construction with poly-carbonate roof. Very good construction, good engineering. All the pieces fit together perfectly. Needs two person to assemble. I did it with my wife. The hardest part was to install the leg-post. I used a ladder to hold the weight. Now we need to find some screen (shade) for one side.
Quality product, holes lined up great. Only complaints would be it takes a lot longer to put up than they say. Bolts and nuts have to be sorted by part number. Instructions need to be more clear about adding sliding brackets for net sooner so you don't have to take it back apart. There will be places on the roof that the bolts are too short. And the concrete bolts are too long and will twist off.
The gazebo is alright, but the assembly was a little tricky. The manual has only drawings of the parts and how they go together. Not one word of instruction. A few sentences on some of the details would have been greatly appreciated.
This gazebo was more expensive than some of the others we were considering. Wishing now we had saved money and bought one with a metal roof. The polycarbonate roof panels do not block heat and light. It is very bright compared to actual shade and the radiant heat from the sun is very noticeable. We contacted Palram hoping we could buy replacement panels that actually blocked sunlight and heat but they do not make any that do that, and had no interest in helping us fix the problem. Would not even recommend a paint or reflective covering that would be compatible with their product. We have temporarily added a tarp to provide some shade until we can figure out a permanent solution.
the gazebo looks fantastic in the pictures, but the assembly process was a nightmare. the instructions were confusing, and some parts didn't fit as they should. it took us days to get it together, and we had to make several adjustments along the way. a more straightforward assembly guide would have made a huge difference.
gazebo does not come along with anchors which are required to steadily hold the metal poles; no instructions as to the type of anchors required for different type of grounds - cement/ pavers/ grass, etc.
I bought this gazebo from overstock with great expectations due to previous reviews. Long story short arrived damaged, the manufacturer was contacted and they promised to send replacement parts that were never sent. Overstock super helpful in getting it back, shame on the manufacturer, imagine if a rust issue arose what it would be the ""customer service"". Plenty of serious company out there.....
These roof tiles does are not strong enouph for icy rain, you will get many holes after a single year and they do not last long to sun exposures (will get brittle and crack on windy days).
