It is all that it says to be. Two people required part of the time in the building. It is definitely a solid and sure to be long-lasting part of our patio. Our only trouble was the plastic concrete anchors and lag bolts. We broke 3 lag bolts and had to purchase metal anchors and bolts. We are happy with our new gazebo:)
We bought this gazebo this spring and have used it all summer, with nothing but good things to say. Assembly took a bit, but no worse than others - it was pretty intuitive.
The Palram Gazebo arrived on time and in perfect condition. The instructions were easy to follow .This is a quality product! The Hayneedle service was outstanding from start to finish. I own a service related company and know good service when I see it . Fantastic . I would recommend this product and this vendor wholeheartedly. I got an additional discount at checkout also . Two thumbs up ,jeff
I waited to review this because I wanted to see how it held up to a Nebraska winter. It held up great!! I would recommend getting a snow scraper for roofs if you get a lot of snow. We used one to get the snow off the roof of the gazebo and had absolutely no problems!! It's held up beautifully to the high wind gusts we get here. you will need at least 2-4 people to set it up.
I love the fact that it's roof panels have bronze glazing to block harmful UV rays , and the Gutters and downspouts channel water towards the four corners and away from the sides, which we are thinking about attaching downpipes which will lead the rain water into the flower garden it has a 10 Year limited warranty which gave me peace of mind.
This gazebo kit is the best DIY kit I have ever come across. That goes for the kit, the parts, the instructions, and the packing and shipping as well. The shipping package is a sturdy box strapped to an oversized pallet. If there is anything to get hit while in transit, the pallet takes the hits. The box,on delivery, was pristine, as were the contents. To assemble, all you have to do is lay out the parts, open up the instructions, and go page by page. Every part fastener is well made, no burrs or scratches, and nothing is missing. In fact, they pack several spare fasteners, just in case. And all the parts come together exactly, no tweaking, cutting or hammering needed. Absolutely perfect. Our gazebo was modified to sit on op of an atrium (indoor courtyard open to the sky) to keep out the rain, leaves etc. had to cut the legs short to not have it towering on the flat roof. Its exactly what we wanted.
Quality product, holes lined up great. Only complaints would be it takes a lot longer to put up than they say. Bolts and nuts have to be sorted by part number. Instructions need to be more clear about adding sliding brackets for net sooner so you don't have to take it back apart. There will be places on the roof that the bolts are too short. And the concrete bolts are too long and will twist off.
I installed my gazebo over a portion of my ""sunset"" deck at my lake house. The deck is almost too hot to use during the summer months, but this gazebo blocks enough of the sun to make eating lunch or having cocktails at sunset very pleasant. The quality of the structure is superb; everything is made with precision! My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the fact that the instructions lack details... there is no easy way to identify which length bolt goes where; more or less trial and error or counting how many of each are in the package and counting how many you need for each assembly. I feel like I have a good bit of common sense when it comes to engineering and construction, but it was a challenge figuring out exactly what the picture diagrams were showing. I can only imagine that pictures are supposedly the easiest way to show assembly instructions when you are shipping to all parts of the world and facing language barriers, but a diagram with full size drawings of each bolt and screw would be VERY helpful.
This thing was very easy to assemble. It says that you need two people but I was able to assemble it by myself by putting together the roof and then attaching the legs. Make sure that you use silicone caulk on the frame or it will leak like a sieve.
Assembly was easy and straightforward, watch the you tube video on the assembly and then follow the assembly instructions page by page,i added gutter downspouts using an adapter and 3/4inch grey conduit pvc pipe, rained hard twice so far, not one leak in the roof, make sure you silicone the plastic corner pieces where shown in the instructions and tighten the ceiling panels screws tight enough so you get a good seal all the way around.overall a beautiful gazebo once itnis up.
