We love our 8' X 12" Greenhouse it is a great value. High quality components and easy to assemble. 2 people required for assembly. We made a block foundation (didn't want to pour a concrete pad). Secured a treated lumber sill to the block, then attached the Greenhouse frame to the treated lumber.
Received before promised...package was in good shape for being so large...shipped to store and personnel helped get it to my truck...all items in package accounted for per packing list...nothing damaged.... Now the good (better) part...I put it together by myself. It took me nearly 15 hours to construct and anchor (the additional anchor kit). Following the steps per instructions and closely examining the pictures for correct numbered part and placement caused me to end up with a fantastic greenhouse. It was more busy work than hard effort. Just stay with the directions throughout. During the construction I was questioning the sturdiness until I finished with the numerous bags of supports/stiffeners. It truly is a solid, well designed, great value greenhouse...just wait until you're done before questioning it's integrity. We love it!!!
I ordered this when on sale and was very skeptical. It was delivered on time. All out ward appearance of shipping container showed no mishandling. I completed a thorough inspection of pars. I found a few missing items and a couple of items that were not up to my standards. I contacted Pelram on a weekend and as expected there was no one there. I left a message and note to call them on Monday. To my surprise I received a call from them first thing Monday morning. I gave them my list. Before the weekend I received all parts in good condition. It took two people approx 10 hrs to assemble. A third person would have been helpful. The "Picture only" instructions leave a lot to be desired but we muddled through it. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family as a good starter greenhouse.
First it was so easy to assemble. The instructions are helpful for a visual learner. I was skeptical about its construction as the majority of the fasteners are plastic. At the end of construction I found metal reinforcements and they made the world of difference in making the structure stable and sturdy. There were some missing bolts and fasteners but the manufacturer sent them out right away. I would recommend this for anyone. I replaced my previous greenhouse that I got from Harbor Freight and it is actually better innny opinion.
This greenhouse is functional and I consider it a good value for the price I paid. That said, it was somewhat challenging to assemble, and the shipping process resulted in damaged pieces. The damaged pieces were still usable, but the damage increased the difficulty of the assembly process . Overall it is a good value. If I were to do it again, I would get a greenhouse that were easier to assemble
First, let me say that the clear panels were not what I expected. They are little more than plastic. Though it's too early to tell, I'm not at all convinced that this greenhouse will keep my plants from freezing this winter. During the day, the inside gets plenty warm, but the heat quickly goes away once the sun begins to set. In addition, we didn't have all the right parts, which required us to contact the company for a replacement. I hoped the part would arrive in a couple of days. It didn't. That meant a project we could have finished in a couple of days stretched to a couple of weeks. I'm grateful we didn't have freezing weather during that time. This purchase has me wishing I'd have bought a less expensive product from another company. I think the end result would have been more pleasing.
In Texas you cannot use twist plastic fastening fixtures in our sun and heat. Get real people.....This green house could not with stand a summer breeze. The front doors fell apart when picked up. Evidently the newly graduated engineer spent more time on the hinges than he did any of the rest of the greenhouse. It would of been less time consuming and less expensive just to purchase hinges and put them in the box. I spent more money on building the deck than the greenhouse was worth. In my opinion its just another piece of plastic Junk.....If it last a year I will be surprised....BTY it looks like the picture....the deck is the most sturdy of the project.
Very flimsy, difficult to assemble, snap in connections break easily, instructions are lousy— just pictures. I'm an Engineer and had hard time w/pictures. Took 2 people to try to put it up. The breaking snap ins kept us from putting it up until the 3rd day. Overnight, it totally collapsed. Going to return if I can. Don't buy this greenhouse
very cheaply made very disappointed in what was send bought it for my mom for her birthday. would never have bought this if I had known it was like this
Junk dont buy. Lasted only one day. I used to thibk maybe those other 1 star people just didnt know how to put it together well thats not the case it is just junk. We are disassembling and returning for refund.
