I've only had it for a few days but so far it seems quite good. I like that the batteries are standard Ni-MH rechargeable AAAs. It's become hard to find a cordless phone with a headset jack, which this has. This phone is not the cheapest you can buy, but the standardized batteries and headset jack, along with a few other nice extras are worth it. The manual is extremely complicated, but you don't really need to use it much for most things. My only complaint so far is the price, which is more than the cheap ones without a headset jack. But worth it for that.
My old Panasonic phone was over 20 years old and still worked great except for the plug. I decided to take the plunge on this one and what really sold me was the reviewer who said you can block calls on this one. And you can!!! It takes a minute to figure out how, but I would highly recommend this phone. I think I had it in 2 days.
I have been using this phone for about a week and it has worked fine. The volume and clarity are perfect. I am still learning all of the bells and whistles. ATT has my phone account as having 20 functions. I have no doubt that when I learn them all this phone will be able of using them all. My favorite options are the back lit key pad and the large letters and numbers and letters when you pick it up from the cradle. This is great for the vision impaired. The speaker phone works great. Folks say I sound fine either standard or speaker phone. Since I already have a nice answering machine I bought this version with the option to add more handsets whenever I choose. I live in an efficiency apartment so more handsets are not needed unless you want one in the bathroom. All said and done I researched phones on the Internet before buying and this one it continued to get good reviews. I now see why. So I am adding my review to the list.
We tried two other models before and we returned them. This phone has everything you need and the screen interface is a pleasure to use. Check the manual online for all the features and you will be surprised. Don't waste your time with anything else!
This phone was purchased because of the constant, daily, illegal telemarketer calls. We are on the national and state “do not call” lists. The phone description and reviews indicated that it “blocks” such calls. It has been in operation for about two weeks and I wouldn't be without it. It works great! Caller ID is required which we already had. The phone rings one time and as soon as it is identified, it is blocked, gives the caller a busy signal and then hangs up on them. We were getting in the neighborhood of eight or more calls daily from the same 800 number. It took about a week and they have finally stopped calling. I'm in hopes that it will work on political and other unwanted calls as well. I would definitely recommend this phone for the purposes above. It has other good features but those were not our main concern.
I bought this phone because the cordless phone I was using had alot of static noise in it. I am very happy with this phone, besides not having static noise it was much easier to add names and store numbers than other cordless phones I have had in the past... very simple and has larger display than most.
Phone is wonderful easy to program had the same phone before and liked it so much wanted a new one as a few of the buttons stopped being easy to push.. pHONE WAS 5 YEARS OLD THE NEW PHONE IS Basically the same just newer and easier to operate as its been upgraded I would recommend it to anyone who needs a land line
I broke the base on my first one. I bought just the base and one handset this time and it was easy to add the two from the previous one I had. The reception is very clear and it take a long time for the charge to wear off the handsets.
I bought an AT&T phone before this one. It always had a hissy stactic sound in the background that was very annoying. So I ordered this one site to store, arrived in like 2 days. MUCH clearer sound. Not as user friendly as the AT&T, but can block unwanted callers, which is a plus. Just keep the manual handy. I'm very picky and am happy with it.
I was looking for a phone that I could use for conference calls when working from home. This phone has a handset speaker phone and a headset jack. I use a headset for conference calls. I was told it was very clear on the other end. I was going to buy an extra handset so I could switch phones if running out of battery during a long call. I believe the spec said 13 hour talk time, which was hard to believe. My first conference call lasted 3 1/2 hours. The battery indicator never moved. I don't know how they do it with rechargeable AAA batteries, but I don't need the extra handset. The headset I bought is Panasonic KX-TCA60 and works well.
