Panasonic LUMIX S5IIX Mirrorless Camera

I now own two S5IIX bodies. The value can't be ignored. While the newer S1II may have this camera beat in a few ways, the value for money spent is greater with the S5IIX. Especially since you can find it selling for less now that the S1II is shipping. As the first Lumix camera body with PDAF, the S5IIX demonstrates Panasonic's intent to deliver the tools photographers and videographers need. The IBIS is amazing and has even improved with firmware updates. I use this camera both professionally and recreationally. It fits both uses very well. Pairing it with S Pro lenses has allowed me to capture images I can be proud of.

I bought my first S5IIX camera body shortly after release August 2023, then purchased two more by November of 2023 and have been using one for pro photo and the other two for pro video. They absolutely shine for video and also take beautiful photos with a little tuning and occasional wrestling with autofocus. There is no camera at this price point that can compare in my opinion.

Just bought camera. Looks good. But beware it does NOT do usb streaming with audio. Zoom will not read audio output through usb connection. Only video. So you have to do hdmi or usb work around with additional mic.
