Panasonic RF-P50D Pocket AM/FM Silver Radio, 2 Band Receiver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this radio about 20 years ago. I don't like earphones so I use this radio every day - mostly ABC AM stations, and for classical musc on ABC FM and 2MBS-FM - while working in the garden or just relaxing.

We needed a portable AM radio for domestic use and in case DAB fails in emergency situations. I have a similar radio that is now 15 years old and it is used daily; so time for a new one! The Panasonic is a quality device. It is an analogue radio that is assisted by a digital tuning feature. I worked in a national radio station for over 12 years and this little radio is a quality device that meets all technical requirements. If you need a portable radio with similar features I would recommend the Panansonic RF-P50D.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice radio fits in my pocket and dont have to carry it on my walks. It picks up FM stations really well, unfortunately cant say same for AM stations, which is unusual because the ABC has never been an issue with other radio's. living 45 mins out of Perth. but not in an isolated area, I am surprised I have this issue.

Product is okay if all you want to listen to is your local radio stations since it doesn't have bluetooth capabilities and it would've been nicer to have a rechargeable battery instead of needing 2 double AA batteries. The price and the silver color is nice though and the fact you can fit it in your shirt pocket is a plus as well.

Seller sent wrong item. Walmart customer refused to take it for a refund because it is not the item I ordered. I was told to wait for the seller contact me but it has been 10 days and still get nothing. plan to contact Walmart again for a solution.

I kept thinking that the reception would get better but it never did. At night, I could barely understand the voices on NPR radio. During the day it was slightly better.

I got this radio as a gift last year and just started using it as the SONY one I had for years was finally dying. This Panasonic is so hard to tune and the stations fade in and out. It basically is unusable, I have many other Panasonic products but never had a problem like this. If I had tried it sooner I might have some recourse. I would advise you to do this, as soon as you getn this product. .

I bought this radio a few months ago, after my previous one of 5-6 yrs started getting scratchy sounds. As a long-time user of Panasonic, I am SO disappointed in this product. It is so hard to tune,and have to run the dial back and forth numerous times to find the station in tune. And the slightest movement of the radio, and it moves off the station. It also chews up battery life so fast I am onto my 3rd set of batteries!
