I purchased this specifically for my cats to use to get into the Neasaka M1 litter robot and it is great for that! Very stable, perfect height, and easy to clean when necessary. Plus it hides the power light for cats that are skittish!

I like it because it is very convenient and easy to assemble.

I bought these originally, for my elderly cat. The rubber for non-stop is essential but I noticed unless the steps are pushed against something of the same height; they aren't all that stable. Granted, these are used for an 8 pound cat, but as a former health care professional, the depth of the stairs runs short if used for a toddler wearing shoes. They also tip back, (to the side facing the bed frame in this case), if not butted tight up against it. Perhaps a bit more testing, using carefully attended, real children? Not saying the 2-step, grow along with you feature isn't a bad idea. It's wonderful. They need two steps now, but in a few months, just one step up. We used to have places like Underwriters laboratories doing safety on this and that, but being I bought these for an animal and not a child, the need for a second look struck me as necessary. It is advertised for children and as a parent, even if mine are grown, If used for a child, they cannot use it Independently.
