Pandemic Legacy Season 2 Board Game

Great game but definitely more complicated than the original. I'd suggest this for when you have a ton of time to do everything within a few days. If my husband and I go a couple weeks we have to refresh ourselves on how this version is played. Worth the money though!

Loved season one, looking forward to playing season two.

My husband and I played pandemic legacy season 1 and immediately got season 2 when we finished. Lots of fun strategizing together. More things to do than season 1 which was fun.

I'll try to break this game down for casual/‘non-gamers' as well as more experienced board gamers, and finish with overall thoughts. If you're looking to get into board games and figuring out if this game is for you, it very well may be. It's a very good legacy game (campaign/story that changes permanently with writing on cards/boards/characters). However, there are currently 3 Pandemic Legacy games (Season 1, Season 2, Season 0). Of the 3, I would strongly suggest NOT starting with Season 2. You very well could and you wouldn't be missing TOO much regarding references to the first season but Season 1 and Season 0 are MUCH better at being slightly more simplified but also more rewarding. Experienced gamers looking to see if this game is for you: I did really like this game. It offers such a different experience than S1/S0 as they drastically changed the game while making it still feel like Pandemic. There's a lot of exploration and discovery in this game. I would recommend playing this only after Season 1 tho. There are references to S1 and I think S1 is a better starting point. But ultimately I do recommend this game if you like Pandemic and/or Legacy games. Overall, this game is a solid legacy game and solid version of Pandemic. It reminds me slightly of Dark Souls 2 - a game which I love even though many believe it's a noticeable step down in the series. The game just plays so differently from other Pandemic games. But the surprises and the learning curve of gameplay changes is fun, exciting and interesting. I highly recommend getting this game but I would recommend S1 or S0 over it if you only get one. In a perfect world, get all 3 and play them in release order. Cheers.
