Paper Mate Eraser Mate Stick Ballpoint Pen, Medium Point, 1 mm, Black Ink, 12 Count

This pen is perfect for doing crosswords. The letters are darker than any pencil could be and the erasing is magnificent - takes very little pressure, and leaves the paper clean. I highly recommend it.

Erases easily on thin newspapers. It's difficult to use pencils on newspapers and see puzzles after using an eraser. These pens solve the problem.

Its not good in writing

I've used these for my budget and checkbook register for years and it's been the same thing all along. Out of every package, whether a 3-pack, a 4-pack, or a dozen, I've always found that half of them won't write, right out of the package/box. The ones that do work are great; the ink is nice and smooth and erases cleanly. Erasers don't last long though, due to the design of the cap, so try not to erase too many large areas at once. For the price, it's not acceptable to know you're only getting 50% of the product. Sam's is a better value but still not when you're only getting half the product. You'd think a name like Paper-Mate would mean quality, but it's not apparent in this line.

These write horribly. Not expected from this brand at any price point. It's almost as if they are fake quality but wouldn't suspect that from Sam's. If you draw a straight line from left to right, for example, the line will be dotted. All of them “cut out” randomly when writing leaving no ink on the paper. I got them for my 10yr old to use at school and will be tossing them since we've used a few.

Paper Mate has GREAT erasable pens, but this particular type of pen is frustrating to use because the ink doesn't flow well (spotty, sticky, requires re-writing again and again in order to see ink), making writing VERY difficult to do with these pens! The ink erases perfectly, though, so that's one good thing about them. My mother and I both bought a box, both boxes won't write well. Beware!!!
