Paper Mate InkJoy Pens, Gel Pens, Medium Point (0.7 mm), Assorted, 14 Count

I tested all colors and each of them is equally smooth and all worked well. The yellow doesn't really show up on any type of paper or color that I tested. It's pretty faint. I thought it might show up on dark colors but the only color that seemed to make it more visible was a light neon green sticky note. Fine to medium point tips. I like the circumference and texture of the pens. They feel sort of rubbery on the surface with a slightly indented dotted texture for better grip. I tested them just after I put hand cream on my hands so my test was not so effective because they felt a bit slick to me. The orange is toward red, and the pink is dark, also toward red. Red, purple, aqua, and black are all true colors. Green is more toward lime than grass, blue is more on the cyan side, and magenta has a purple tone. Sorry about the stationary with ghosted roses in the background in the photo - it's all I could find to write on to show colors. There is a "window" on the side of each pen so you can see the ink level. Nice feature.

They are really good to write with

I ordered these before. But they were skipping, I returned them. But I love paper mate and decided to give it a go again. This time they all work fine. But the black pens are skipping. That may settle though. Not a huge deal. I wrote once if anyone wanted to tell.

I love these pens! It just seems with every pack I buy, there are always a few that either stop working or run out too fast, and sometimes spotty on how well they maintain their smoothness during writing. Requiring constant shaking out of the pen. Otherwise yes a great product and I love these pens!

I love these pens but after a few days they start to clog up and are hard to write with. You can fix the problem by changing the way you hold the pen and scribbling for a minute but it is annoying.

The colors were wonderful. The grip on the pens were a little awkward because the barrel is a bit larger but not soft at all. So I couldn't put my normal pencil grip onto the pen to make it easier to use. The pens ran out of ink pretty quick as well and before they ran out, they were kind of skipping. So it was just very awkward to write with them even though they was still ink left. I would say they had a half life of their actual ink because they were so awkward to work with once they started running low.

MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! Gel pens have always been my go to. I’m that person who needs her notes, journals, planners, and scrapbooks looking clean and perfect. Some people call it OCD, I call it having neat handwriting. So when I bought a new work planner, I went searching for the best gel pens too! These gel pens by InkJoy kept showed in the top 3, so I snagged a multicolor pack %26 was bursting at the seams with excitement! WELL! That excitement ended fast. Within days, several pens were skipping nonstop. A few stopped writing altogether. I even checked the ink levels thinking maybe I’d somehow burned through them — NOPE. Every single pen still had about 98% of its ink left. Hoping it was just a bad batch, I ordered a smaller pack... Same exact issues. I also noticed a pattern: the blue shades were the worst offenders. Gorgeous colors, but almost all of them skipped. And their “write on any color” gels (white, yellow, etc), were practically unusable. For the price, this is incredibly frustrating. I’d rather pay more for a reliable brand than waste money on pens that skip, dry out, or quit mid‑sentence. As much as I wanted to love these, I DO NOT recommend them. Highly disappointed in PaperMate. In the photos you can see where I had to rewrite becausethe pen was skipping. You can also see how uneven the ink is in some spots.

Thoroughly disappointed in these ink pens. I have bought this brand for decades and I’ve always loved them. However, these pens stop writing (I use them for puzzles) within a an hour. The ink is still full but it won’t write. I guess I’ll have to find a new brand.

I don't know what happened to these pens, but I bought two different packs (different color varieties) lately and both sets didn't write well at all. Only one or two pens writes at all from each set, and those ones barely write. I've been using InkJoy pens for about a decade and never had a problem before. but now I don't trust them and can't convince myself to try a third set after the last two both failed me.

The pens Walmart sells are frauds. The authentic pens are wonderful true color, smooth writing marvels for notes, coloring, drawing, correspondence, and more! You will love these pens as long as you do not make the mistake of buying the multipack from Walmart because they are cheap imitation junk being pawned off to us as the real deal. Pay more and get a whole lot more ink and smoothness when you buy the honest to goodness product! Don’t be misled by the flashy attraction of low cost; it masks inferior quality and illicit trademark violation. Buy true Ink Joys by purchasing them from an art supply store, drug store, stationers, even an hardware store. Pay for the real PaperMate Ink Joy Gel Pens 0.7 mm Medium nib. The Walmart version is a ripoff. Spend money for the quality product.
