It's been 13 years since I discovered the Andy Griffith show for the first time. Even after all these years it's still my favorite TV show of all time. This show changed my life in lots of ways ,if time travel was possible I would love go back to North Carolina in the 1960s. When life was so much more easier and simple. The only difference that this Complete Series has to the original is it that there is no bonus disc. This contains all 249 episodes seasons 1 through 5 are in black-and-white where six through eight are in color. The only thing I would have liked that this set to have had is the return to Mayberry movie but if you buy The Andy Griffith Show 50th Anniversary collector's edition which has select episodes you will have that movie on there to complete your Andy Griffith Show collection.

My husband & I watch Andy Griffith every evening. Each episode has a life lesson in it. Even my 16 yr old son watched a few episodes with us last night. Got to love that Barney Fife. All of the DVD's come in one big plastic case about the size & thickness of a book. This selection is well worth the money. We couldn't be happier with this timeless purchase.

For fans of the program this is the ultimate collection. The sound and picture quality are top notch and you can watch the series as it goes from early black and white to later color episodes which look as bright and sharp as if they were recorded yesterday. This is a must for any real fan of the program. And you can't beat the price. Lots of memories here. You won't be disappointed.

brought back good memories

This is the kind of old shows that are clean and fun and you can have a good laugh at how things used to be. Greatly enjoyed by my husband and son they can't get enough of it .

The collection was great!! One show on one of the discs, the sound was a little gargly but not too bad, that was it.. the entire series was great quality..

Like this dvd because I grew up watching it ! It was my sister's favorite show , she is gone now to a better place, I bought it so when I watch it I can remember her !

the andy Griffith show :the complete series is excellent! it has and always will be one of my alltime favorite shows! it's too bad television isn't like that now! thank God I got my andy Griffith show dvds to watch in place of todays television! their worth every penny I paid for them!
