Rio Lobo presents a tight group of heroes, each distinctly unique and sometimes complex (much better than the cardboard cut out secondary characters who populate many action adventures--especially westerns) who come together to form a likable group that you have to cheer for as they battle bad guys who are all too real--power hungry villains who are driven by their ambition and greed. Rousing good fun to watch.
