I always used the more expensive brands with my other kids until i found out that formulas are called formulas cause they all have to use the sane formulas and that store brands are no different then name brands. My baby is now 8 months and has never had an issue with this formula. Other brands are actually much thinker in texture. I very much care what my baby eats as i make all his solid foods and if i didnt have an issue breastfeeding then i wouldve done that but i cant so i did a lot of research before trying this one and im happy i did.
Tried this because all of the ingredients were the same as similar pro advanced and much more affordable. My daughter had no reaction and liked it just as much.
This brand was recommended to us by our pediatrician. He said buying the more expensive name brand was like throwing our money away. This is so similar to the other brand at more than half the cost. Our daughter likes it just as well as the other brand. We hardly noticed a difference when we switched her to this formula.
This formula is basically the way to go if you don't have a baby with milk sensitivity. Where the name brand Pro-Advance formula sits around $1.20 per ounce, this is generally priced $.50 to $.60 per ounce, and it's essentially the same stuff. milk, lactose, oils, HMO, and a near match of the nutrition labels. The formula is manufactured by Perrigo which makes the vast majority of off label formulas you find at any other store. Walmart seems to have negotiated some of the best pricing given their scale. Regardless if you have enough money to get name brand or not, buy this. Don't toss money down the drain for a prettier can.
My son has been on this a majority of his first 9 months. So much more affordable than other formulas and doesn't tear up his stomach. When Covid happened my area Walmart did not have this formula in stock, and I was forced to supplement with Similac. I was nervous to switch him being that he was only 3 months old at the time, BUT he didn't have a single tummy ache. It was a seamless transition. I highly recommend it.
Our son is 9 months old now and he's on the advantage baby formula from the last 3 months and I feel great after making a switch as he was on a high calorie national brand name formula that used to cause him lots of problems like constipation, gas, lethargy. After the switch, I can observe our son is more active and free from a constipation and gases, plus weight gain is along the growth curve too! Also, these store brand formula are generally switchable at least when I wrote this review as mostly all are from Perrigo and are FDA regulated, but Walmart price is unbeatable!
I love this formula! With twins we go through a lot of formula and this formula is basically the same as name brand but very affordable. We buy the formula in bulk to get an even better price. I wish I would have found this formula with my first son!!
We love this formula! And love buying it in bulk online. It's so much cheaper that way! My son has no issues with this formula. Dave's so much money for a great product! I used parents choice for 2/3 kids. I wish I would have tried it with my first!
Received a pack of 4 large cans with less than 2 months till expiration! Delivered on 17Apr2023. Expiration is 08Jun2023. I am glad I checked right away so I don't wait to use this. Even then, I likely will have to throw some away given how close to expiration this is, and that it's a large amount. It's a shame with the whole formula shortage…
SMELLS FISHY AND DIFFERENT SPOON. DO NOT BUY! I use to buy this formula all the time but now is just different and the spoon is bigger is not the right amount of oz it supposed to be.
