Although I am past the child birthing stage, these are really cool to have available to new moms. The minutes, hours, days, and weeks post delivery are rough and these ice packs are our best friends. However, I purchased these for a different purpose. After having children hemorrhoids are a pain…literally. Some days the OTC methods are not enough, so these ice packs help deliver some much needed added relief. So not only are they great for the intended marketing purpose, they are also multifunctional!!!
These are much cheaper than the name brand and they felt colder. The cotton pad portion is more absorbent than the ones the hospitals give you. These have a sticky back to hold them in place. These would work great as icepacks for C section recovery as well.
I have chronic illnesses that require me to wear adult diapers as well. I have been having problems recently with rashes and thought this might be a good try to solve that problem. Turns out I was right on the money. Because as it turns out, my doctor said it is the perfect thing for people with incontinence problems as well. What a relief to be able to sit coolly I would recommend these over some of the other others even. These were great for pain postpartum when I was recovering with stitches and had used up the ice packs the hospital sent home with me. I felt they were even colder than the hospital ones which was nice to me but I'm sure that may vary person to person. They weren't as easy to pop with just one bend like the medline ones were but I did appreciate the fact that these have adhesive on the underside to keep them from slipping in your underwear and needing adjustment. Only other thing I'd note is that one of the individual ice pack packages seemed to have been sealed with the ice pack so it was very difficult to remove from the packaging and not worry about breaking it.
I bought this for my daughter for after she gave birth to my grandson and she said they worked excellent along with the foam like spray for your vagina and yes the roam is better to put in the fridge like the bottle says you can do. I my daughter also happens to be 17 years old and she had nothing for the pain to take…all she could do is use these pads to help and the foam spray I got her for pain relief besides naproxen.
Wow wow wow. These are so much better than the Fridamom ones! I'm currently in my third trimester with my third baby and using them for hemorrhoids (and will be for postpartum.) They're much more affordable and get colder than name brand ones.
These stay colder longer than the Frida mom brand and they're more affordable! With the other brand I was having trouble with some so m of the packs not cracking and with the Parent Choice pads, I've opened two boxes and no defected pads!
i had a pretty bad rash and allergic reaction, these were a life saver. little tip, do not leave in a hot car, a while box was ruined, the gel melted and got hardbut when used as directed, theyre great!
I really don't know how to describe my experience with these, it wasn't awful but I think I maybe expected too much. With that being said this product did provide some relief for me after having a surgery, so I would recommend but do not expect anything extravagant. I even still have some lol.
These were nice postpartum; however, comparing these to the ones the hospital provided, the parents' choice was not as good. The parents' choice ones seemed to not get as cold and had a lot of liquid sloshing around, making the cooling uneven. Also, one of them did not work.
