Formula creates a lot of bubbles (foamy like texture) when mixing, but overall my baby doesn't get constipated or fussy, like he does with the other formulas I've already tried.
This is a great option for our baby that needs to be on sensitive formula. My only complaint is it does get really foamy if you mix the bottle by hand and aren't careful. We use a brezza, so we aren't mixing by hand. This would be something to consider.
This is a great alternative to the original Similac sensitive formula brand. This formula specifically offers more ounces for a lower price. Baby absolutely loves it.
This formula has been a great fit for my baby. It's easy to prepare, gentle on sensitive tummies, and has helped reduce fussiness. Great quality and a great value
This is the only formula my baby's tummy can tolerate. We even tried the name brand can of this type and it wouldn't settle well. It saved us when we finally tried it at two months old. Still going strong five months later!!
I usually use the Similac as my little one seems to have a lactose intolerance. I was hesitant to purchase this but it does save quite amount of money so I am trying it. He is now almost 11 months old and has had no issues with this formula. I would highly recommend as a substitute for lactose intolerance! At least with my personal experience. Contact your provider with questions though..
the label reads almost identical but the Similac version however it is very frothy compared to Similac when you mix it and my daughter was on it for one week and we did not sleep that entire week because of how gassy she was she couldn't hardly get through the night without just squirming trying to get comfortable as soon as we switched back to the Similac and we were back to sleeping through the night. it's only fair to mention she has been a gassy baby since she was born but not to this extent
Will stick to name brand similac next time. Every 4 oz bottle has almost 3 inches of bubbly foam I have to let sit for a while and put gas drops in for them to go down so baby doesn't get added air in their tummy. Regular similac sensitive doesn't do that, but if you are just needing something cheaper it does the job. It mixes fine just really bubbly. Value (quantity) for price is great.
The formula is horrendously foamy after it's mixed in the bottle. I had to mix 2-3 servings for my infant in a large bottle and then put it in the refrigerator for hours to let the foam settle after mixing. When my infant was ready for a feeding, I had to pour the formula into a different bottle then place it into a cup of hot water to warm the formula enough for my infant to drink. If I didn't do the above, my infant was so gassy, she would spit up like a faucet for hours .
We were looking for a cheap alternative to Similac sensitive , I went through every ingredient and saw they were the same . I started my baby on the formula on a Sunday and noticed slight changes in stool as they weren't as frequent , he was more fussy than usual and sometimes would finish all his bottle then other times wouldn't . Friday morning he passed a stool that was hard as a rock and he had slight bleeding when I wiped him ! I was so surprised and felt and feel terrible ! I haven't stopped crying After having inconsistent stools and being extremely gassy this week I've realized there has to be something very different with the formula . Formula isn't a one size fits all . It may work for your baby but I don't recommend this just to save a few extra bucks .
