I am 70 years old, and I say this because as far back as I can remember, Parkay Margarine has been used in my birth family's home. I also use it in my own home. In my opinion, Parkay Margarine taste very good on bread items, and has always been excellent to use in bake goods and other recipes (which call for margarine). It's not that different to me than actually using pure butter. It melts well and because of that it mixes well in recipes that call for it.
I love this butter. Ever since I went to a restaurant many years ago, and I loved the meal that was served with butter. I had to ask the server what kind of butter it was. So, it was Parkay Butter and I have not stopped buying this butter. It tastes so good. I even use it when I make beef in the crockpot, I do not use salt and only add a stick of Parkay butter, it's great.
Not everyone likes the stick butters, but our family has always loved our parkay. The flavor is so different from other butter or spreads. Paired with a fresh backed potato makes this irresistible. Rich flavor. Another great thing about parkay is on the wrapper it has measurements to assist with any of your baking needs. Best spread available.
Only place I can buy my Parkay in stick form now and I much prefer the quality of this brand over Imperial or others for certain things, Butter is best, but I use this in baking and cooking somewhat.
Use to be a Country Crock person for so many years but Parkay has been my go to of lately. It has a butter quality to it and not real salty in my opinion. As for now, the price makes this a standout.
It is the best margarine! For some reason, it has been hard to find at WM. Love the taste and it has always been reliable in recipes. I wish WM stocked the spreadable Parkay, it doesn't make your toast watery.
Well, I must say that I am very pleased with Parkay! I used butter for as long as I can remember, but the price is way too exorbitant. So I decided to try margarine. Sigh. After 3 disastrous purchases, I decided to try Parkay. I am SO impressed! It cooks like butter and tastes like butter!
I use Parkway exclusively. It even works in recipes that call for butter, and the price is very reasonable.
Parkay has a better taste than any other stuck margarine and is worth the extra cost. The stick margarine is best for cooking and baking, when needed.
It took me a minute to realize that I had been visually tricked. For years I yhought I was using butter Nope it's vegetable oil. I often go shopping and look at pacaging but after this I read everything carefully. Parkay is a good brand but if you look at the packaging you would think its butter for those Muffins. I'm now using it for other cooking needs. The packaging needs changing. They knew what they were doing. Butter is dairy but vegetable is plant based.
