My household does not have milk as a regular staple, as we do not drink it. So, I mostly purchase shelf-stable milk to cook with, and this Parmalat 2% Mild does not disappoint. I can keep it in the pantry until I open it and then keep it in the fridge. It is a true game changer as I was always throwing out milk before after the recipe was made once.
We don't usually keep milk at the house only because not often drank before it goes bad. This is convenient, both drinking and cooking. Smells so much better than old fashioned powdered milk! Beats evap too! Reasonably long shelf life unopened but good in fridge afterwards up to 7-10 days
If you want to have a milk stock that you can keep outside of the fridge, this is the best choice since it expires in a year and the quality is very good. I have to admit that it is quite expensive, but worth the money for the real good quality. Highly recommended.
We lived in Riyadh Saudi Arabia for three years and the only milk they had at that time was Parmalat. We learned to like that milk because at that time it was said to be better for children because their dairies weren't regulated like the U.S.A. Thank you for selling it here because I really like that milk!
We learned about shelf milk when we lived in Israel. So, in my food storage I will continue to purchase this product. I especially like it when I run out of money and milk. I can still have milk in my cereal and in my hot chocolate until I get my allowance. It has a good clean taste like milk.
I find that I end up throwing out milk because it expires before I can finish it. Though this may be a little expensive, in the long run it's worth it as throwing out the other milk is a waste of money. So this product is what I use now and I can't tell the difference.
When a popular grocery store stop carrying my shelf stable milk, I went on the search for a new one. The top candidate was Parmalat 2% Reduced Fat Milk. I search all over the city for who carried it. the best price was Walmart. I've tried it in my cereal and cooked with in making my cornbread. So far I'm batting a thousand. I need a shelf stable because I don't use milk that often and I need a semi-long term solution. I found my perfect solution.
This is highly recommended because mostly that is shelf stable until you open it. So until you open it, you didn't not need to refrigerate it. I find it saves me room in my frig for fruits or veggies that require it more. I have never received a sour container of this product either, for which I am thankful for. I have however received sour hogs of milk when I pick them up in any store I go to. So this shelf stable milk is nice.
Wonderful to have long shelf life 2% milk that tastes great whenever I need or want some. Walmart has the best price of all on line stores including Amazon for this product. This is the only way I purchase my milk.
Purchased item for shelf stability and size. Made a mistake in not checking when I got home since I didn't need milk immediately. Went to open it 2 days later to find that the container was molded and rotten at the cap, pulling apart from the carton easily. I went ahead and opened the carton and the milk was completely spoiled, coming out in clumps. Expiration date was still good, but this milk had obviously turned a long time ago. I couldn't return or refund due to the time but will not buy again.
