Simple and cost effective! Be sure to get a funnel to pour sand into base. Works great. Holds the umbrella tightly. Held up well during thunderstorm with high winds.

Works great with 10' umbrella. I filled it with 50 pounds of paver sand. The sand was a bit damp, so I used a bleach jug top as a funnel. It took a while, but the end result is one heavy base. Since my umbrella pole was smaller than the base hole diameter, I packed sand around the pole to make it stand up straight.

This was perfect for my umbrella. You wont be disappointed. I only wish the opening to put the water or sand was bigger. We used sand and it was a little difficult to fill.

This base will work but I dont like the tightened, like old Christmas tree bases. I will probably upgrade to a heavier base

The reason for my rating is that the screw that secures the umbrella pole was unusable because the hole that it went through was not aligned correctly. I had to redrill it and make other modifications in order for it to work. After the modifications, the base works fine.

Filled with water but wind still blew it over. Have 2 big rocks sitting g on it. So far ok. Otherwise nice looking base. Would buy more if needed.

everything was fine until I discovered too late that the cap is a one time locking cap! what a ridiculous feature! cannot empty to put in storage for the off season.
