Patons Canadiana Yarn - Solids-Winter White

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been waiting for a long time to make a gingham blanket with this yarn. They would always be out of either the light or medium teal to go with the white. I finally got lucky and on sale to boot! Hope to start it soon.

I used Patons Canadiana for several beanie hats for guys early in the pandemic. Now in 2024 I wanted to make a small blanket with my own colors, I was happy for good color selections with the yarn I used back then. It is comfortable to work with, looks good and lays well.

I love working with this yarn. I make beanies with it and it is my favorite yarn - it's a pleasure to work with and it looks so great in a finished product.

This is one of my very favorite afghan yarns over many many years. I've made at least 15 blankets and afghans and you can't go wrong with it. Reasonably priced.

The yarn was a beautiful red color. I have ordered from this company before. The yarn decreased in thickness with this order. It split some with my long Christmas stocking pattern. Slightly disappointed because I still have their Really Green (which isn't available anymore), and there was a noticeable difference. My project still came out lovely though.

This is my first time purchasing Patons Canadiana yarn which I chose particularly because of the weight and range of colors. The knitted afghan is for a gift in Soft Teal. It is knitting up very nicely and is soft and lightweight in feel. The sheen of the yarn shows off the knitted pattern beautifully. The only reason I did not give this yarn five (5) stars is that it can rarely split if you are not careful. I was using bamboo circular needles so this may or may not have been the issue but I would not be hesitant to purchase this yarn again as it looks gorgeous when knitted.

I have enjoyed working with this yarn. It is softer than I thought it would be, which is nice to be pleasantly surprised. I will keep this yarn in mind for future project.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The order I received is of a newer lot from 2026. It feels very different from an older 2024 lot I was trying to combine it with. I knew the color might be slightly different but I did not expect the fiber to feel entirely different from the old one. The new one is rough and frizzy. The older version was smooth, soft, and much nicer. I would not buy the new version again.

It said "Pack of 6" ?????? I got 1 small ball of yarn! 3.5 oz of regular yarn, nothing special for $9.95. I will never buy this again. Waited for a week for it to arrive. What a mistake.
