Patti LaBelle 8 inch Southern Buttermilk Pie, 1 Count, 21 oz

Seems a lot of people don't care for this pie. In my opinion, and being from the south, I think it's fantastic and most certainly different from basic flavored pies. Reminds me of 'poor boys' pie that my grandmother made. Rich custard texture, lots of flavor, not runny. Crust is crust. I buy one every time they have it in stock.

My favorite pie you can find in a grocery store besides maybe wick's sugar cream pie. When it's out of stock you will see a girl get mad!! Lol. But really I have almost attempted to make my own when I couldn't get one but luckily for many people who may have been affected by that disaster Walmart has always saved the day by restocking. If you like custard type things you HAVE to try this pie!

This is everything I thought it would be. I thought I had ordered a mini pie for a dollar. I'm so glad I didn't see that lol. This is like an old fashioned suffer cream pie. Worth every bite!

This pie is the best in my opinion. I have never had a buttermilk pie (at least that I can remember) so I had bought this one other time and bought it again today. It's sort of like a custard but not like egg custard taste which is almost what I expected. So no eggy taste, just sweet and DELICIOUS!! It is very good and words really can't describe it. I for sure know I love it! 😍

I am so happy to have found Patti LaBelle Buttermilk Good Life Southern Pie. I have been craving for custard and was having a hard time trying to find custard foods and thank goodness I came across this pie from Walmart. I tried it for the first time and I ate it all in one sitting. Absolutely delicious. I will be buying it every time I step foot into Walmart, thankyou Walmart and Patti LaBelle!

This is so good I've never had it before so I wanted to try it and I'm glad I did yummy!

i have never received this item. It's always out of stock, so I've never tasted it. Thus, the neutral rating. it moght be terrific, or it night be awful. I just don't know.

I wanted to love this pie. Especially after going around everywhere trying to get one to try due to availability. The crust wasn't great. It broke apart at the top but the under crust was solid. The crust didn't add to the pies flavor. The pie flavor isn't for everyone. It was very sweet, but heavy as well. It was like a mixture of cheesecake and gooie butter cake. If you like both, like the texture, and can handle the sweetness you may love this pie and I would recommend it for you. If not, I wouldn't recommend it to you. Personally, I prefer the Peach cobbler and Sweet Potato pie, and bread pudding over this one. I put it in the same grouping as the banana pudding, and feel both are worth a shot depending on mood and taste.

I tried to give Patty another chance and try this buttermilk pie. it's just as bland as her banana pudding. I had to cut up bananas to put it in the pudding I don't know what I could do to make this thing better. It's like it's trying to be a custard pie but has the consistency and a little bit of the taste of a cheesecake. Honestly it just leaves you feeling like you don't know what it's supposed to be. It's a cross between a custard and a cheesecake but not in a good way. Feels like there's an ingredient missing or it needs topping. My family was very underwhelmed.

I would probably have loved this pie because I've had it from a local bakery that has closed. unfortunately I didn't receive this to rate because passed expiration date
