I just purchased this product a few days ago, so I am not sure about long term effects on my hair. I recently had high lights and low lights put in. My hair is very light now as I attempt to grow out the grey. So far, I have not noticed any dullness or brassiness to the color. My area has been affected by the smoke from the Canadian wildfires, so it's not actually sunny. I will update my review after I have used the product for a longer time.

I contacted Paul Mitchell and told them the code date on the bottom of the bottle. They said that it was manufactured in 2005 and has a 3 year shelf life. The product sent does not look like the product pictured online. It does not indicate "UV protection" which is the reason I bought it. Per PM after 2005 has a JTS code.
