Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three, 16.9 oz.

I swim almost every day and the chlorine from the pool water is making my hair feels like straw….stiff and dry. No amount of conditioner is helping. When I learned about this shampoo, I got to give it a try knowing that Paul Mitchell products are of high qualities. It surely did not disappoint. My hair is now soft and manageable. It makes a world of difference. I would highly recommend it.

Paul Mitchell Shampoo 3 is the best for curly hair low porosity hair. My hair was easily to get build up so fast from curly hair products. I am looking higher of pH level, and this shampoo is perfect, I use this once a week. Then moisture/protein balance mask.

This shampoo far exceeded my expectations. I live in an area with hard water and have a whole house filtration system but still struggle with mineral build up from the hard water on my greying hair. This shampoo gave my hair new life! My hair looks brighter and shinier and feels so clean and silky after using. I can go three days without washing after using this shampoo. I alternate between the Shampoo Three and Shampoo Two when I need to clarify. The Shampoo Three smells wonderful and does not make my hair look or feel dry as many other clarifying shampoo brands have in the past.

I used this product once after swimming and my somewhat curly partially grey hair and non chemically treated hair was a dry lifeless mess afterwards even after using a good moisture treatment. I am certain that this shampoo is effective at dealing with chlorine and other mineral deposits on the hair but while my chlorinated pool has a pH of level of 7.4, just slightly above Toronto tap water, Paul Mitchell Shampoo 3 contains a pH level of 9, which is sufficiently alkaline to disturb the cuticle and to cause damage to the hair shaft. No shampoo, even one for swimming, should be above a 7, which is neutral, and for optimal hair and scalp health a shampoo that is used on a regular basis, should be a 4.5 to 5.5 pH. pH information should be listed on every bottle of shampoo and unfortunately isn't. I was unable to return this product to the salon or to the distributor for a credit and the JPM telephone contact has been unresponsive today. Disappointed with customer care.
