My car LOVES this fringed throw! I actually bought it to partially cover my ottoman that is pushed up against my couch to help deter her from using it as a scratch pad! Draped across the couch seat and over the ottoman, she decided she loved sleeping on it as opposed to her favorite spots. When the throw first arrived, my initial observation, like other reviewers stated, it IS made of a very thin material. Hmmmm. It had a lot of wrinkles in it, so I popped it in my dyer with a damp hand towel for 10 minutes and presto, no wrinkles. I then draped it over part of the couch seat onto my ottoman, arranging it so it covered the 2 exposed corners that she likes to sharpen her claws on, to my dismay. I still hadn't decided if I was going to keep it because I still wanted to use it when chilled while watching TV but again, I thought it too thin. I really like the diamond knit pattern and the fringe.(FYI wash in a lingerie bag on delicate so the fringe doesn't tangle, I learned that years ago, the hard way. Hang to dry.) Anyways, back to the spoiked rotten cat that lives in my house! During the day yesterday, I would contemplate whether I wanted to get a heavier throw or just keep this one. As soon as I noticed Kayla sleeping on the throw on the ottoman and not on her favorite places, I knew I had to keep it. Every time I walked into the LR, she was sleeping...somewhere on the throw. Hmmmm. Later in the day it was time to watch a movie and snuggle with her. I picked her off the tgrow and pulked it over my legs and plopped her on my chest. Indignantly she stood up, walked her way down me to where the throw was draped partially on the ottoman and curled up on it, not on me! Hmmmm. Long story short, or not, I am keeping it. She is sleeping on it now. Oh yeah, the weight of it is perfect for summer in TX with the thermostat set on 75°. AND the spolied cat doesn't try to sharpen her claws on my ottoman with this on it! Win, Win!
