I was pleasantly surprised at the durability of these new steps. My cat is 17, has mobile issues, and He weighs 22 pounds and he's having a hard time jumping up onto the chair to get onto the table, which is his Lookout table. I put him on the bottom and walked him up the steps just once and the rest is history. He's up and down those stairs by himself like nobody's business. He's a happy boy again. These are Good sturdy steps. Very easy to put together.
So far we are really enjoying it. I move it every morning when I feed the chicks. I should have sprayed it with a water sealer before putting birds in. Might have made it easier to clean and weather better? Does not seem like it so house the 10 chickens it said it would hold, but I like it so far.
I like it. My friend came over, saw the boxes and said, "Neat, let's put it together!" Chris had no problems with the instructions. We identified the parts first from the instructions, separated the hardware and screws into bowls, then got to work. I held the pieces together and Chris drove the screws with a little handheld battery operated screw driver. Only too we needed. Only took us about an hour to assemble. We had fun making the chicken tractor. I can see how people who do not usually build things might have a little trouble reading the instructions, but parts like the egg boxes have slots so it fits together easily. The egg box rests on a ledge so it was easy to determine where it fit. The only problem was that the floor / drawer did not slide into the slot. Slightly too big so it was too tight to slide. But I will only need to do a little sanding so it will slide in and that is the only reason I gave it four stars. The coop parts smelled rather strong when it arrived but that could be caused by being packed in boxes for who knows how long. I set the parts on the floor to air out in the garage for 2 days and it smelled fine. I like the smell of cedar. Now I just need to get some hens.
Our coop arrived in great condition with no problems. My biggest complaint would be the directions provided. The pictures were blurry and unclear and it was sometimes difficult to even tell which pieces were asked to be used. Since the directions have the parts lettered for identification it would be very helpful for the actual pieces to have the same letter markings. Otherwise the coop was fun to put together.
So far the reviews seem to be accurate that the directions are a struggle. Additionally we were disappointed in the color of the coop. We ordered one that looked like natural wood and what we received said red on the outside of the box, so we were thinking maybe it would be a cedar color, but no. It is an almost neon orange! We are going to have to paint it a different color, so that's disappointing.
I'm not completely satisfied. It's very small and just feels cheaply made. If there happen to be a storm with very much wind, I don't think it would hold up very well. Plus, I've only had it about a week and a predator already dug under and stole eggs.
This structure is perfect but the fabric is terrible, it is loose and not secure.
THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS ARE ALL BUT USELESS. PARTS ARE NOT NUMBERED OR IDENTIFIED. MUST GUESS WHAT IS WHAT. PICTURES ARE POOR AT BEST. HARDWARE IS POOREST QUALITY. I WAS TEMPTEDTO MAKE BOND FIRE BUT RESISTED AND FINALLY GOT IT ASSEMBLED. I THEN WENT TO MOVE IT AND ONE OF THE SCREWS PULLED OUT OF A WALL... AFTER GOING TO THE HARDWARE STORE AND BUYING LONGER SCREWS IT IS TOGETHER. IF IT LASTS A YEAR I'LL BE AMAZED. THE CHICKS SAID IT BEST...CHEEP-CHEAP-CHEEP! How am I supposed to put it together without instructions, screws, or latches??? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Cheaply made Wont roll on grass ramp broke after 2 weeks I had to add bracing for strength because it wobbled so much when rolling it Leaks like crazy wood roof over nesting box is warping I had to seal the wood with waterproofing because they missed so many areas assembly instructions are so horrible its laughable
