The shingled roof, 2 stories, steps for them, it has a roof that can be opened for ventilation. I bought this for 3 stray kittens that decided I was their owner! I was a little hesitant because I thought it would not be sturdy. I was so wrong!! It is amazing!! Easy to put together, shipped super fast. So happy! Sorry the pictures were taken at night

Definitely a two people job and you'll need a power drill. the roof is a bit uneven that's why I took off a star. it's spacious, I got it for my cat (Tau) he's been spending a lot of time outside. I'm unsure if it's actually waterproof about to put on a waterproof paint just incase. you can never be to sure. The instructions were all there and helpful. it looks just like the pictures so that's good.

I have had this going into 3 winters now and it's been GREAT. It's been easy to insulate and it fits standard heating pads wonderfully on both levels (run bottom cord up thru partially covered hole and both cords out thru the side entrance). I use it as 2 separate units for 2 strays. The only issue I've had is that the roof is flat and water doesn't run off properly, so there's been a bit of wood rot around that area. Just this year during the big cold snap, I moved it from my back deck to my covered front porch and the little neighborhood monster loves this thing. She enjoys the view sitting on the roof when she's not inside of it snoozing. It is her home sweet home.

Quality materials, but poor workmanship. There were 3 screws stripped out, one of which was driven into a split board. Also, the wooden pegs holding the swinging door on come pre installed. one of my pegs was busted and the door fell off as soon as I lifted it from the box. I had to drill out their peg and replace it with another (supplied for other areas-with no extras) peg. Replacing that door then cost me two more pegs, as the opening is too tight and it really needed to be installed before hand. I had to make due with 2 less pegs when installing the roof. Which didn't seem too necessary anyhow. While I do think this has serious potential to be a 5 star item, the very poor workmanship putting the panels together force me to downgrade to a 3 star.

The platforms will not hold the weight of an adult cat. You will need to use larger screws. Instructions were not very clear. Think the material is cheap and probably will not withstand outside weather.

I am waiting for replacement parts...since the first week of July. I like the house and hope to be able to finish construction soon.

I purchased 8 cat houses for my Sanctuary,they were all adorable and Easy to build. But this Paw Hut sent tiny pieces you needed to put together (the awning's) with horrible cheap screws. Wood extra thin thinner then Other cat houses! I would Not recommend this product. I used my own screws and didn't use the pegs because of their off centered holes for a few of the pegs.

This is a cheap piece of junk!!! Made of thin Balsawood slats its good for nothing. It is not waterproof. It is not for outdoor. It's not for anything to throw in the trash.! Wood splits if you sneeze! :( :( :(

Received a damaged box after waiting about 2 weeks to get this item. When I opened it several pieces were damaged. After close inspection even the undamaged panels showed poor quality craftsmanship. I wouldn't recommend this item.
