Volume skips around 6-8 per click and there's some weird stuff like sometimes my soundbar or TV won't turn on. The controller itself is good. It's very nice over having to use my controller and turning it on/off. The backlit keys are such a great feature. I just wished the Xbox worked as intended.
Good remote but with two cons. There is no dedicated next button, so you're forced to fast forward through things like songs or videos instead of just advancing to the next one in a playlist. The second is it seems to be a battery hog. Batteries only lasted two weeks and I'm not using cheap batteries either. Otherwise solid in build quality and value for sure.
Remote works perfectly with the XBOX Series S console. It's an improvement over a controller as the remote doesn't require you to turn it on and wait for it to connect. My only gripe is the direction arrows requires a hard press which lead to you having to guess where the button for up/down/left/right is located .
The controller works perfectly for my setup with an Xbox Series S connected to my TV and Sonos sound bar. The only inconvenience is that the volume up and down chance the volume by two steps instead of one no matter how light I press it. Also, the arrow keys are a bit harder to press than the others. Nonetheless, it's still a great purchase
Sleek and easy to use. The only downside to this remote is the IR sensor on the front, is incredibly finicky. You have to point it straight at the Xbox with complete line of site or it won't work. I thought it was broken at first. Once you get the hang of that, it is very tactile and made well. The backlight is pretty really awesome for when you lose it on the couch at night; takes hardly any movement for it to light up.
Great price for a tv style remote when using the Xbox for streaming. I gave it 4 stars because the back lighting goes off too quickly and the remote itself is a bit too thin to fit the hand comfortably compared to the original Xbox remotes. Despite those two things though, I recommend it and in fact bought a second one for a future backup after using the first for a week. Still working fine.
Right, d pad doesn't work.
The remote feels cheaper than the Xbox One version. The previous Xbox logo button is now just a sticker that comes off on the new button and the remote's backlight is less sensitive so you will fins yourself shaking the remote in the dark to see what you are doing. Fairly disappointing product.
The remote works, but not much thought was put into the button layout. The back button is too far from the directional and select button to use comfortably. The remote is also very narrow and the directional buttons are stiff and difficult to use.
This remote is a mostly useless item. A complete waste of money. The IR is so nitpicky, it's hardly worth using, I have to have "direct exact" line of site to what I think is a "portion" of the XBOX to get it to work reliably, even from only 12 feet away. I've had it about a month and the battery is starting to die after intermittent sue so things like "long press" on a Youtube video no longer work and I have to sit forward in my seat to get it to register consistently. The button layout is odd, with the back button in the strangest of places (the lower middle of the remote) making it hard to access. The buttons are so tight it actually stresses my fingertips to push each one. This is particularly true of the ring surrounding the XBOX button. While some of this may be a function of the IR in the XBOX itself, it's worth noting that, it doesn't matter, this product simply isn't worth buying whether it's the consoles fault or not. Just use the XBOX controller, get a good rechargeable battery that will last longer and you don't need to "tightly aim" the controller to get button presses to register.
