Peaches & Crème 14 Oz Cotton Cone Rosemary Yarn

I make what I call the work horse of baby blankets with this yarn. Think giant wash cloth that gets better with age. Great for warmer climates, comforting yet absorbent for all those baby needs. Best everyday, drag me everywhere blanket, not to be confused with the fancy super soft “dressy” blankets that I make too. Wish it was available in more colors and bulk discounts.

An ample amount for working on wash cloths and dish cloths for small gifts. I also want to make a fisherman's market bag and won't have to tie on yarns as I would using smaller skeins. I haven't found this size anywhere else. Yarn is 100% cotton, and very soft. The ply tends to split but that comes with the territory using this fiber content and other multi-ply yarn. I am enjoying knitting with it very much. I like the colors I bought, and especially the slightly dotted yarn with color that adds character and dimension.

I love this product and wish it was available in even more colors. It is great for making dishcloths and shower poufs.

The colors are very nice. The string makes cute hats and pot cozies. The main problem is the string starts to un-twist while you're crocheting. It does wash up well. Once my projects are finished, I send them through the washer. I then stretch them out and let them air dry. The big spool is awesome to get a bunch of projects done.

The yardage is great for completing larger projects. I found that the thickness of the yarn seems to have gotten a little bit smaller and the overall feeling of the yarn is a bit stiffer (which may resolve after washing).

Be aware that the cone version of this yarn is thicker than the ball version despite stating the same yarn weight. I wanted to crochet lots of dish cloths only to find the cone yarn is too thick for my needs. I wound up making a dish drying mat instead.

The yarn was fine….except a fairly large muddy spot. And it was dropped off at a brand new unoccupied house next door. I had to cut off about 75 feet of yarn to get all the dirt off. The only thing I can think of to try to salvage is out it inside a pantyhose and wash. I was going to return but it required ne to box it up (it was not delivered in a box, only a plastic bag) and to print a label and i do not have a printer. This is why i do not want the Walmart plus. What I am guessing happened is the package got dropped at this wrong address (the bag looked like it had a tear) and it just got left (again at the wrong house). I do not know why. Our mailbox with our address is right across from our house. And this house is obviously new construction and unoccupied.

In this review I loved the yarn but it was the yarn department at Walmart in Rio Grande that was terrible, there was just one of the yarns I bought and I needed several, plus the yarns were all messed up. I was so disappointed.
