Peet’s Coffee is a brand I had never heard of before and as such, I didn’t know what to expect. I’m always game to try new Kcup flavors so I couldn’t wait to brew up a cup of this Café Domingo. For some reason my Keurig only made a small 6 oz. cup instead of the large 10 oz. cup which I requested so if you like your coffee a little less intense, go for the 10 oz. size. The aroma of the coffee brewing was nice. The color was very dark so I was expecting a super strong taste. It wasn’t as strong as I thought. This is what I would call a bold medium roast if there is such a description. Robust without being bitter at all and very smooth. If Starbucks is too strong for you, yet you like strong-ish coffee, this might be the one. It’s probably a little too intense for breakfast but as mid-morning or afternoon treat it would be wonderful. I will definitely be buying more. This may be my all time favorite flavor and Ive tried a lot of them.
Peet's Coffee Cafe Domingo Medium Roast coffee packs a good punch in the mornings to start off your day without being strong like darker roasts. Personally, I don't usually care for dark roast coffees and stick with light and medium roasts. If you enjoy a flavorful medium roast coffee, I think you'll enjoy this one. If you've never tried Peet's coffee, you are missing out on some of the best coffee there is....and they have a large variety to choose from. No grounds in the cup as their K-cups work extremely well in Keurig machines.
Cafe Domingo provides a full-flavored rich-but-smooth coffee taste without the intensity of a robust dark roast. It was lucky find given many options are either too weak or too strong/bitter. It makes you want a second cup every time.
I like the coffee, that is why I ordered it. I drink it black.
My partner's favorite coffee, abcdefghijklmno3ei ei oh
I admit it - I am a coffee newbie. One of my New Year's goals was to learn to drink coffee and like it! So we bought a Keurig for Christmas, and have enjoyed trying new flavors and types of coffees. May I say that I a a HUGE fan of the K-cups? What a great way to have a variety of coffee without having to make a whole pot! While some think k-cups are wasteful and expensive, it depends upon how you think about it. I would never be able to drink an entire pot of coffee by myself, but I can definitely polish off one or possibly two cups of coffee. The cup format gives folks who only like a small amount a great way to have a fresh drink and not be wasteful by dumping the rest of an unused pot. Peet's Café Domingo coffee is a much stronger roast than I personally care for. However, my husband, who likes bold coffees, said that he very much enjoyed this coffee. He had three cups today alone! Passing along his input, he said it smelled great while brewing, tasted nice and smooth, and didn't have any burnt aftertaste, something so many bold coffees (and some cheaper coffees) seem to have. Overall, it got two thumbs up from my bold coffee loving spouse.
Great taste if you like a medium roasted coffee. Especially good paired with a mid-day snack.
My go-to cup is a medium Columbian coffee. I like a coffee that you can smell brewing across the room, and long before your lips touch the cup. I didn't get very much aroma from the Cafe Dominican. The coffee was good with no bitterness, perhaps a bit bolder than I anticipated. A good coffee but probably not my favorite.
I really like this coffee. I like the dark roast a little better but it is more a preference than anything negative toward the medium roast. It brews up fast and seems to make more coffee. I am not sure if it is the K-cup itself or my machine but compared to other brands the cup is fuller. I use cream and Stevia in my coffee so I cannot compare it for those that drink it black.
Not bad at all... nice packaging...box has 16 k-cups which is a plus...brews pretty well...I normally prefer the taste of light-or medium coffee...to me this coffee tasted a bit more of medium to dark coffee...the taste was pretty bold...a bit strong for me...but then again I do not like dark coffee at all...What I really liked was that it was kinda bold but it was also smooth...there was no after taste at all...like I have tasted before with other bolder coffees....I think this coffee is best for someone that likes a stronger tasting coffee...not someone that likes light coffee...you might not like it....
