Priced reasonably for quantity. I used it just like flex foam with fabric spray to adhere then quilted my fabric for the tote.
I use a lot of sew in foam for bag making and other sewing projects, I purchased this bolt and it works great, and you can't beat the price
There was a 1-day delay in the packet, but it came packaged with no damage. Will be ordering again. I will just give myself a little wiggle room for shipping if I have to meet deadlines. ❤️
I've used this to make two Bionic Gear Bags so far and really love the structure it gives. It bounces back nicely after being folded, compressed, crushed, and any other "mistreatment" it might get. Unfortunately, using spray glue to adhere to fabrics before sewing is patchy at best. It didn't melt or damage the foam in any way, it just didn't want to stick in some spots. I'd give 5 stars if it did. I will definitely purchase this again! Photos show the two bags I've made so far. It was used in the side and main panels where normally I would use stiff interfacing.
The product is as described but came with some kind of black dots all over the top layer that are some kind of dirt or oil marking up the foam. It is still useable and seems like a good product overall but unfortunate that it showed up basically dirty. Hoping it's only a one time thing. The price was fantastic!
I really needed the Pellon 2-sided fusible foam to go on sale. I had to buy the above bc this hasn't been on sale for a long time. With JoAnne'e gone, I really need your fabric section to not be phased out. Also couldn't find the 'Warm and Natural' quilt batting like before. I'm sad can't get these basics anymore given that Jo Anne's has closed.
I was disappointed when I used a fabric spray adhesive with this product in a project I was making. The spray adhesive had a chemical reaction to the foam and dissolved it, leaving the surface of the foam dimpled and pitted unevenly across the surface, which was visible under the fabric. I would not buy this product again, as I would be limited in using it only as a "sew-in" material. It also was not as firm and supportive as the PP77 with the tricot covering.
This is the worst foam I have ever used for a project. It is very hard to sew and it puckers pushing the foam from the bottom out. It was inexpensive for what I got but if it can't be used for what it's need for it's just a waste. I will use it on small projects that do not need quilting lines. Too much trouble to send back.
I usually buy my flex foam from a craft store, but wanted to try this from Walmart for ease. It was a mistake. It is nothing like my regular foam, it is thinner, not as firm, rips easily, and my sewing machine refuses to sew it! I have used close to 100 yards of flex foam prior to this order, and NEVER had any of these problems. The quality is so poor, and I will not be ordering again.
This item was supposed to be white flex foam and came mostly yellow with some white areas. I had multiple projects which required white.
