I've installed several dashcams over the years, so I have the experience. This Pelsee PI Pro Dash Cam installed as easily as most, but be patient, and try different locations with the cable installed as the location of the USB-C plug, and the sliding bracket release, will limit some locations. I wish the USB-C cables had 90-degree connectors - this would have helped to hide the cables. The rear camera cable is way too long for anything but a stretch limo - find a good spot to hide the excess. The front camara cable is just the right length.
The cameras feel well built. The screen is bright and the buttons are easy to use. There are several settings to configure, but, my experience, once everything is set up I practically never need to touch it unless an event is recorded. The camera body, while not huge, is quite larger than my prior camera, which hid nicely behind my Mustang rearview. I installed the front camera on the plastic rearview mirror electronics housing, not the glass, so the static cling film didn't help in the front. The film was useful on the tinted rear window of my SUV hatch, as this protects the window tinting - and the picture is pretty good even through the tint.
Software and wifi setup was simple, and worked without problems.
I like the peace-of-mind having dashcams gives me, but the front unit could be smaller; it's quite visible from outside the car. I used the dashboard USB outlet, rather than the included power adapter, and the wires are pretty well hidden, except at the cameras.
This Pelsee has a lot of features for the price, and great reviews. If you are new to dashcams, though, you might not need the features if you only have it in case of accident or emergency. You might, however, find having a 4k dashcam useful when on a scenic drive.
