Pen + Gear 6-sheet Crosscut Paper/Credit Card Shredder

This is the second shredder I have purchased. I don't believe this should be called a cross shredder because it isn't. It's a strip shredder. However, it really makes no difference to me because it works beautifully. I noticed that the strips don't get caught up in the tines like my other one did (not the same brand as old one). I shred both forward and reverse at the end just to be sure it is all cleaned out. The one and ONLY complaint is that I wish there were handles on the sides so I could pick it up to move the entire shredder at once. Since I keep it in a closet I need to bring it out when I need it, and it's annoying to have to try to get a grip on both pieces and hope it doesn't spill! Other than that, I am thrilled with it!

I've been needing a paper shredder for years just never mentally considered it a necessity. So I never got one. Then, this year it came to mind it would be a good idea to get one and so I did. It's convenient, it does what it needs to. However I'm a paper hoarder lol so I have a lot to shred will take me time. But it's amazing how this little thing works.

I am grateful for this shredder. My Mom passed away and she had so many papers with her information on it. I didn't have the money to go to a place to have items shredded. I was glad to do it at home at my pace and not have to worry about someone getting my Moms information.

Works great. Good price. Only negative...the slot to inserf paper is so NARROW, you have to get paper aligned just right for it to be grabbed...no wiggle room.

Overall rating is. a preference as I should have paid more attention. the shredded strips are not that small as they were on my last shredder of comparable value. Product is as it stated however and I should have paid more attention. Price was decent and quality is good.

Great shredder, cheap bin. My old shredder was cheaper quality, and only shredded in strips. I needed an upgrade to switch to a cross shred. However, I miss the old bin the shredder sat on. It was much more durable. The plastic was a harder thicker sturdier plastic and allowed me to slide it from its storage spot for bigger jobs. This one is made of really thin, light, and cheaply made plastic and you can't slide it bc it's so top heavy. There's no handles or groves on the outside either, also making it more difficult to maneuver. You can't use another bin bc of the safety feature, either.

Everything a person needs in one stop. One thing I would change is, please consider a drive-up or a drive-through for prescriptions. If you can not do this, then please have parking spots for script pick-ups only. Or, areas where we park and have staff bring our scripts to us. Thanks

Doesn't have a high capacity, but our old shredder that did couldn't handle what it said it could. This is good enough to shred those credit card offers, etc. that come into your home with sensitive info. Compact, no-nonsense black plastic. Not a true cross-cut (our old model cut diamonds across text; this one cuts lozenges along the text), but good enough for everyday.

I had a grocery bag full of paper to feed thru this machine. It took me hours to finish since it kept over heating and I had to let it cool down for 30-50min. Also the bin is small and i had to empty it out every 10-15pages, and it did jammed up a couple of times aswell. I went for this one since its the cheapest out of the three that were in my store and the others have multiple reviews about over heating and paper getting jammed. I was able to feed plastoc cards with ease and slightly thick paper. 3 stars since I was able to get the job done, clearly not hassle free. I would recommend if you have the time and patience.
