They have a smooth feel to them, perhaps waxy, but they should last a very long time. They washed off my hands easily but I didn't try on clothing or surfaces. The price rivals brand names. And look at the variety!

The texture is about the same a a normal crayon, I couldn't tell much difference. These do smell alot better with different kinds of scents . Would recommend these to any parent or just anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love these crayons. The colors are beautiful and great variety. They do not have a strong scent and the texture of the crayons colors beautifully. The paper packaging makes these easy to recycle if you don't need the box.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pen+gear 24ct washable crayons had a variety of colors. My daughter and I colored a couple coloring books and on some regular paper. Unfortunately, they didn't transfer very well and you really had to push pretty hard. I was disappointed because quite a few of them broke. They're not horrible, but they are in a brand that I would go by honestly. I really expected a little bit more from them because the brand is a decent brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these for my 9 year old. Unfortunately, she wasn't a fan. She said they don't color like regular crayons which is why she didn't like them. She didn't like the texture as they colored. She prefers regular crayons. However if you have a younger child and being washable is a requirement, I would go with these.
