The shredder itself was fine. The only drawback I found was it was hard to pick up. you had to grab it from the bottom. if there was even an indentation molded into the side that would help.

Compact! Crosscut-style is the ideal shredder for maximum security. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that this shredder motor has a handle to lift it out of the bin. It is a workhorse. I put it through a variety of tests with different sizes, shapes, and textures of documents. It would pause for about a second (like catching its breath) and right back to it. I ran out of scratch paper trying to max it out. I confess I didn't attempt to deliberately overheat. On continuous feed, I was almost certain that would cause it to overheat (though, again, not trying to) but it didn't. Not sure what more can be said about a shredder or its performance. Now if any shredder can find a way to clean itself without leaving confetti in its wake, that would be the icing on the cake for me.

Nice sized shredder that does what it was made for. I live in a studio, so I opted for a smaller size and it fits right under the desk. It is not intended for heavy use, which is exactly what I needed. This is perfect for home offices. This would not be good in an work office setting where there is higher demand. It shreds papers, credit cards, and even staples. There is an indicator light showing that it is on and if it gets overheated. The collection bin is 3.4 gallons, so a small bin. It has modes of off, auto, forward and reverse.only shares 6 sheets at a time to prevent paper jams. It is super easy to set up, simply place the top on bin and plug it in. The maximum continuous use is 4 minutes, so any longer is likely to overheat the shredder. It uses a micro cut which means it cuts into tiny pieces, offer better security. This is perfect for home use, to shred any sensitive documents. Overall, I would recommend this product for the home and if you are looking for a more specific type of shredder. If you are just shredding papers, then a crosscut shredder will work. However, if you anticipate to shred potentially sensitive materials, such as happens with home use, then micro cut is the best option.

This is a great shredder. I feel more secure using this cross-cut shredder as opposed to my old straight cut shredder. It is a great size for my home office. It is a perfect fit for under my desk. It does not get in my way at all. Easily handles 6 sheets at a time. The credit card shredder is an added bonus. Has all the features, reverse & overheat included. The shredder also has a nifty carry handle to remove the top for easy cleaning. The bottom bin has a see thru window which allows you to see when it needs to be emptied. I had to shred a pile of papers which took me about 20 minutes. The shredder was warm but did not overheat. Overall I would definitely recommend this simple shredder for the home office use.

My previous shredder burned out and I needed a replacement that wasn’t going to break the bank. For micro shredding documents, this is a steal especially if you get it on sale like I did. It’s a bit smaller than I expected, but gets the job done and didn’t break the bank. Happy with purchase.

I been looking for a quality shredder to use in my home and I was given the opportunity to try and review this one. Once I got it I set it up and began shredding papers I have been stacking up. This shredder works great for what I need it for. I like that it shreds to confitti like so now I know my identity is safe. I have been shredding everything that I would not throw away with my info on it. On the top of the machine is a sliding button it has fwd, auto, off ,and rev I keep mine on auto so I know it's always ready to use. It also has a over heat light that will light up if the shredder get to hot. The top of the machine has a nice weight to it and the bucket is no an light but can hold a good amount of shredding. It also has a window on the bucket so you can see how much shreds you have in it instead of lifting off the top. Overall this is a quality shredder and I will definitely be using this alot. Also I like that it not so bog so it won't take up alot of space

This is a nice study little shredder. It shreds paper quickly and it's not too awful loud. It also shreds very fast. The top cutter portion sits securely in the bottom trash portion and the whole thing doesn't wobble or seem like it's going to topple over (I've had other ones that did that - what a mess!). It shreds the paper quickly and can do up to 6 sheets at a time - perfect for the credit card bills. I really like that the trash can has a window in it so you can see how full it's getting. It also has a credit card shredder which I didn't try. Cross-cut shredding is very secure and the cut pieces were about 1/2" long (or less) - not DOD standards but good enough for my mail!

This is my 5th Shredder...it seems they've gotten smaller over the years %26 this one has a delayed motor after items are shredded. The motor doesn't just quit after shredding - it runs again about 5 seconds then stops. Perhaps this is a clearing action for the blades.

Shredder was ok. It shredded ok. U have to only use awolled amount of paper. Shreds credit cards good. The only fact I didnt like was u can only shred 4 minutes and let it cool down 40 minutes. It takes all day to shred if u have alot to shred. Maybe if it was bigger , shredding might be faster. But on the other side, it's small and doesnt take alot of room. Also like the fact that it had a handle.

It does shred into tiny, unreadable bits but that's about the only good thing about it. I would not recommend this item. My gets jammed about every 5 pages and I have to shred one at a time. It overheats too often to be useful. So, unless you don't plan on using this very often, I suggest to keep looking.
