I am writing a review of the Pen + Gear compass and protractor set. This is an essential school supply for 5th grade math- every kid will need this. Per the packaging, the compass makes a circle up to 12” in diameter and the protractor measures 180 degree angles from both sides. My son uses this in school and works well for him.

As a mom with two kids and multiple nieces and nephews, it's never too soon to get started on those back-to-school lists that will come in soon. My son is starting 6th grade soon, so this will definitely come in handy when it is time to practice graphing.

This 2 piece set is nice. Works great for what we are in need of. Perfect for the office and for school. Seem sturdy enough as long as excess pressure is not used. Feel different then the metal ones we used in school. Hoping in the long run it lasts as long. Time will tell. So far so good. Many uses for these and different ages can use it. Even smaller ones for just drawing things. I would like to Come back later after some time to see how well this holds up I do recommend this set. School is starting soon so we will probably need another set.

The Pen+Gear plastic compass and protractor set is really a tool that you need for your math class. This is made of good quality material and won't fall apart the first time or thousand time that you use that. If it's right into any binder pouch or school box. If you are a teacher I need a few sets of protractors this is a great set for your classroom. And if you are a student you will definitely want to grab one if not two sets of the plastic compassion protractor set to get used to do the year of math. I would definitely be getting a couple more sets not only for myself but also to use this gifts for the high school graduations.

This was exactly what my daughter needed for school. It fits great in her pencil bag and she’s able to keep it in there when she needs it so that it doesn’t get lost. It’s easy to use and very durable. I’m very happy with the bargain this truly is. Buy it! You won’t regret it! This tiny tool is so helpful and useful.

I bought this set of Pen + Gear compass and protractor several times over the years. Usually I buy them for school because it's on the kids materials list. However, I tend to get more use out of them than they do. The protractor does break easily but it's so cheap to replace it's not a big deal. We're always building something so the protractor and compass can come in handy.

This is a quality protractor and compass. It is perfect for use and school or for home measurement needs. It is already fitted with pencil and is ready to go. The color is a medium blue and it's a pretty large size so it won't get lost in the backpack. It is made of plastic, and is pretty sturdy, but I would prefer metal if that was available. This is well-made and I like it.

Ok to be honest this could be 100% user issues on my end but I could not get this compass to stay put! Protractor good basic all you need the protractor to do! The compass looks very nice and has duel measurements on each side. I tried using it multiple times and the stable pen part just kept shifting and moving no matter how I held it. Again it could be me but there was no solid locking in place option and it kept moving degrees. I think spending more on a compass is worth it if you want it to be super accurate!
