Pen+Gear Thermal Laminator, Letter Size, 5 mil, White

I've used this laminater 4 times so far. For under $20, i can't complain about performance. the 1st sheet had some slight bubbling. The instructions say to use the 1st sheet as a practice or scrap sheet, i assume for this reason. i did run it through a second time, and the bubbling was gone. since the 1st run, the bubbling hasnt been an issue. i will say the button on the top got stuck the 1st time i pushed it to turn it on to adjust the sheet thickness. it took some wiggling, but it popped back out and functions as it should. stuff sounds like it's rattling around inside, maybe like a heating coil. not that that's an issue or alters the performance, just unexpected on my end. It's kind of worrysome when you have no experience with laminaters.

Time will tell, but so far of this seems like an excellent value and valuable product.

I used the 3 mil laminating sheets that come with the laminator and was very pleased with how sturdy the paper came out. Lamination has held up well. Heats up quickly and works efficiently. Would recommend. I haven't tried with smaller items, but with an 8.5x11 paper it works great. there were no bubbles.

This is such a cool machine to have. Once it's heated it works really good and can do so many pages one after the other. I've laminated over a dozen papers so far for my kids and it is great to have for anything that comes up. This is much better than using sheet protectors (which I was doing previously).

When you first use this. You might smell some burning plastic. I ended up contacting customer support and they said that this was pretty typical for the first couple uses. Heat up pretty fast. Works just like all the other laminators that I have used in the past. This does have a little bit more noise to it than others. But it gets the job done he's evenly.

The only complaint I have about this laminating machine is it recommends cutting smaller things and putting them together in in one pouch but when I do this, the machine either tries to jam or it comes out wavy. Other than that, this is a great product.

The package was damaged and wrinkled, I wanted this laminator for my daughter as a gift for her apostleship in Young Catholic Professionals, so I will buy a different one for her and keep this one for myself, works well enough for my personal and office needs, light and practical I do like it. The carrier/delivery lady: Lisa, was awesome, she was fast and courteous. I was expecting the package by 10PM and arrived very early, grand!! thank you very much.

I've used quite a few laminators throughout the years for my business and this one is one of the disappointing ones. It starts making weird noises after many only two months of use. Which is tolerable. The biggest problem is that the heat was not even, you get spots that you need to delaminate and it will cause the paper to look uneven. Not happy about it at all.

Unfortunately, I plugged it in and turned it on and not even 3 full minutes of heating up it was producing white smoke and a type of burning plastic smell (not a normal smell) . My cat ran into the room and was sniffing around as if alert about something. So I unplugged it and opened the window. It also has a rattle sound like a spring loose or something but I didn't think much of it initially. But the smoke and smell alarmed me. I honestly don't think this should be able to be sold if they can't afford proper quality control on their products. This is a fire risk and safety risk. So this is a warning for anyone who does purchase this, if it starts smoking and has a smell, UNPLUG IT IMMEDIATELY and open windows. Don't risk your health or having a fire. Don't wait it out for it to eventually stop. The product is defective and needs to be returned.

It heats of the laminate but does not seal it. A waste of money and time but I am outside the return period. Waited too long to open the package to use it .
