Penn 5500 Premium Official Size Indoor Table Tennis Table, 18mm Surface Thickness

I placed order during BF sales. I was a little concerned about delivery because it is not the first time I received something heavy and damaged. This time I was surprised with package because it was done in proper way. Table was protected with 8 boards. It took me 1 hour to get it ready for game. I highly suggest this table for that price.

An 18mm thick table for under $300?? Thought… this must be too good to be true. But here it is, set up, and playing like the real deal. We play 2 hours a day, 6 or 7 days a week, so we have a pretty clear idea about the quality of a good table. We have never seen a better price on a remotely similar table. Is it “perfect?” No. The color is not classic green or blue. Whatever. The surface is just very slightly reflective instead of perfectly anti-reflective. If you play a lot on good tables, you will notice it at first. But it becomes pretty much unnoticeable after a week or so. The table folds up for self play or folds all the way up for storage. The legs do not fold tight against the sides, but stick out a bit. Since we don't need to store it, this is entirely irrelevant. The ball holders at each corner are actually useful, and protect your hands from hitting sharp corners. The holder is not super strong material. But once again: for players who want to play on a quality surface, it's that 18mm tabletop that makes ALL of the difference. Getting any thicker immediately takes you up to much, much higher prices. Quality for price, this table simply doesn't have a competitor. I mean, even if you decided to get ping pong table paint and paint it, you'd still be wayyyyy ahead. Zero regrets. Would definitely buy again.

The quality of this table is on par with the high-end brands that cost twice as much. The table is very sturdy, and the playing surface gives excellent bounce. Assembly was easy, but needs two people to lift it upright.

The package is heavy. You may need 2 person to handle it. Also, you need to be patient when put everything together. Some of the parts seems they were made for left or right sides, but I got only one side. Fortunately, it doesn't matter the function.

The quality is excellent, the assembly was not too difficult. My only issue was that it was missing two parts. Luckily they were not consequential to playing ping pong.

The box arrived with obvious damage. Packing material included particle boards, some of which were broken. Upon opening the box's other end, we found several screws that appeared to have been be stripped from the ping pong table. That was all we needed to see. Sent it back for a refund. I would attach photos, but they're bigger than 5MB.
